ODU Accelerated BSN Hopefuls Fall 2016

Hi! I did not see a thread currently open for prospective students for ODU's Accelerated BSN program for Fall 2016. Does anyone plan on applying? I am thinking about applying, as the deadline is quickly approaching! Also, does anyone know how long it takes to hear back on an admissions decision?

No, I am an older student with a family, so no campus living for me. :( I did not apply anywhere else yet. If I don't get accepted I will apply to Sentara's program, although I am anxious to start (and finish) so ODU is definitely my first choice. How about you?

I applied to the UVA nursing program as well! If I were to get accepted to both I would go to UVA. I would go there because I am a younger student, so I feel I would get a better college experience there. I am hope we both get into the program! We obviously both worked really hard. LOL. 10 days!!

Oh man!! I am applying to the UVA program as well. UVA would be my first choice, but nursing school is competitive so I will take any program. Very anxious to find out. We both obviously worked really hard for this, so I am hoping the outcome is good.

Good luck! I hope you get into UVA since it is your first choice. I always wish I had gone away to school so I could have had that experience. It seems like all the nursing programs are super competitive. I'm sure with your scores and volunteer experience you'll get into both.

I have a 3.6 GPA and scored an 88% on the HESI. I hope we all get in! The count down is on- 4 days until decision letters are mailed out!

Also, I too only applied for the traditional track.

Yes!!!! I feel like we will get them on Monday! I cannot wait to find out. I wish ODU updated their website more often. (Specially with previous statistics). I'm so ready to know! LOL

Definitely! I'm afraid my GPA won't make the cut :( It helps to know what previous applicants scored on their HESI exams and what GPAs they applied with!

I applied also! I am completing my Associates of Science this semester from TCC, so i have all my pre-req's done and my GPA is a 3.8. My hesi was 92.29. But....I am an older student and I went to ODU in 1996, for 1 semester. My GPA wasn't great. I went back to school two years ago and basically started over and have done great since. Any classes I didn't do well in while previously at ODU, I have gotten A's in since. I'm not sure how they will view that...so I'm super nervous that they will say I need to take a couple classes at ODU first then re-apply. I've also heard that they give consideration to ODU students and all of my pre-req courses are from TCC. I guess we will find out soon...fingers crossed!

awesome! You obviously improved, so I do not think they will really look at your ODU grades. I am also getting an AS at TCC this may! So far it looks like we all have the same GPA. Do you think they are just taking the science gpa or the overall gpa?
