Hello to all October 2007 timestamps. Here's the "Roll Call" thread I promised to start. Please copy and paste your timestamps here so we can all keep track of each other and where we go.
Since the most "recent" timestamp to get in was Oct 21st (LOL), that means we're next. Either this time or the Spring placement.
I wasn't happy about my "randomized" timestamp because I know that I'm behind most of you at the back of the October line. But I still feel good about Spring.
Well, it looks like half of the October 22's got in and half did not.
The good news is that we now know we're in the top 100-200 and should get placed in the first placement run in the spring. My guess is that anyone with this timestamp should get one of their top three choices.
Please keep in touch and inform us if anyone hears anything.
HEY EVERYONE! DID ANYONE FIND OUT WHEN FALL2009 CHOICES WILL BE AVAILABLE. IS IT THIS WEEK OR NEXT WEEK?? ...I CAN'T WAIT FOR PLACEMENTS TO START, IT'S BEEN A LONG TIME WAITING.
I am guessing that unless you can move the trip to another time, you may consider deferring. September would only be the second month so I'm sure you would be missing way too much information... You've already waited this long do you really want to wait another semester?
Yeah I agree w/jke530, do you really want to wait another semester to get in? But If you really have to go, I would talk w/an advisor from the nursing department. Just to be sure If it's an issue to miss a week or not, and if not how much catching would it mean?
I'm sure the two of you can work it out to some degree.
This is a little off topic but when are we suppose to see our choice options for the fall??? They said the end of Feburary..well it's here and nothin so far.
One of my classes right now ia Calculus and I'm so over taking it I just wanna start the nursing courses already:cry:
Yeah I feel your pain in all this waiting. I am taking patho. Right now to waste time which I'm glad I did. Hopefully choices will be up soon so we can all stop going crazy!

Yes, I do. I have a chance to meet some very inspirational people who have helped me get through some difficult times in my life, and I do not want to miss this one bit. If that means waiting 4 more months, so be it.

They said we should be seeing them soon. But what they say and do are 2 different things.
I tried to call an advisor, but no one ever calls you back. I am just curious how the deferment process works. If I defer, I get in the next semester, yes?
I called the nursing hotline yesterday about when the placement capacities would go up, and the lady there told me that they are still waiting for all of the colleges to submit their numbers to them. She said hopefully sometime next week we would see those numbers.
On a side note, i aked her if there would be less spots open this semester compaired to previous fall semesters, and she replied that she hadent heard anything regarding fewer placement capacities.
