Hello to all October 2007 timestamps. Here's the "Roll Call" thread I promised to start. Please copy and paste your timestamps here so we can all keep track of each other and where we go.
Since the most "recent" timestamp to get in was Oct 21st (LOL), that means we're next. Either this time or the Spring placement.
I wasn't happy about my "randomized" timestamp because I know that I'm behind most of you at the back of the October line. But I still feel good about Spring.
My timestamp:

Hey KMM,
I guess I can deal with parking as long as I get into a good program. I had a customer the other day that was a student wearing MCC scrubs and I asked him about the program there...he was in his first semester and he said he absolutely loves it and the instuctors are awesome and they really help you out a lot. That makes me want to get into MCC even more! Let's hope choices will be up by the end of next week....at the latest!!
...and it also looks like there are about 100 less spots open to the public than are normally open for fall semester (I think normally it is about 500) so I guess they are cutting back as well. Make sure you guys affirm your interest too on your status page!! (I guess that will get rid of some of the stale apps.)
I was thinking about that too.....I'm pretty sure they go down the list of deferrals first, and as long as they are still wanting a spot and as long as one of their choices are still open, they will get placed. But in an extreme case, some of the deferrals might not even get placed in a low capacity program if by some chance a program like Rio (with only 14 spots) got filled with just the deferred students. Not likely, but it could happen. I have a feeling that there were so many deferrals last semester because of the economy:scrying:, and since things have just gotten worse, I'm sure there will be more this semester, and I'm sure a lot of those who deferred may not be able to start in fall either.
Hi Chechy,
Even though you don't have your application in yet, you can still see what the choices are for fall. here is the website...
http://nursing.maricopa.edu/ and then just click on application status to see the choices.
Well hopefully we're the only 2 w/MCC as their first choice....lol:chuckle
(wishfull thinking) But no seriously I hope we are able to get one of our first two choices. jke230 what did you put as your 2nd choice?? I have scottsdale but I'm not sure if i'll get that either. Hopefully deffered indviduals wont be too much of something to worry about...I guess at least we are gettin placed!
Welcome back guys,
Yes, we are getting one of our top 3 choices and we will be placed in the first run... there is no doubt.
Besides the obvious, "I don't have the discipline" responses. Does anyone have any feelings or know anyone that has gone to Rio's RN program? Not regular classes... only the RN program
Hey KMM03,
I am not sure what I am going to put as my other choices...I really don't want to put other choices because I live out in Gilbert near Queen Creek and even Mesa will be somewhat of a commute for me. I was going to put Chandler Gilbert as my second choice but all I've heard is bad things about their program. I am just hoping since my timestamp is pretty close that I will get into Mesa. If not, I'm sure there will be some deferrals from Mesa like there were last semester.... but I guess if I had to I would pick Gateway or Phoenix...I have heard great things about their programs as well. Hopefully we will both get picked for Mesa!!

Hey Everyone,
I just recieved an email from a nursing advisor too said that we should be recieving an email real soon about choices being posted. I was hoping it would be today but next week is better than "a few more weeks".
Hey jke530,
That great, yeah my teacher is NP, she teaches at ASU's nursing program too, very funny/nice lady. You'll really like it over here everyone I've ever talked to here is friendly. I hope I get to stay here for nursing school. The only downside here is parking! Alot of people go here so sometimes it can get crowded but usually dies down towards spring break.
