October 2007 Roll Call

Hello to all October 2007 timestamps. Here's the "Roll Call" thread I promised to start. Please copy and paste your timestamps here so we can all keep track of each other and where we go.

Since the most "recent" timestamp to get in was Oct 21st (LOL), that means we're next. Either this time or the Spring placement.

I wasn't happy about my "randomized" timestamp because I know that I'm behind most of you at the back of the October line. But I still feel good about Spring.

My choices are:

Choice 1: Glendale CC 4 Semester Traditional Choice 2: Mesa CC - Boswell 4 Semester Traditional (Sun City) Choice 3: Phoenix College 4 Semester Traditional Choice 4: Mesa CC 4 Semester Traditional Choice 5: GateWay CC 4 Semester Traditional

The way I see it, I am at least in the 12-15 month bracket. What this says to me is that if I don't get in through deferrals, it will be in the fall for sure.

When is the "Spring placement?" When is the next time they do placements? How many times per year do they do that?

Great Idea Boru! :idea: My date and timestamp is after everyone's I believe, ITs October 22, 2007 8:05:31. My choices are 1. Mesa cc 2. Chandler-Gilbert Acc 3. Gateway trad. 4. PHX trad 5. PHX Acc. I hope that helps everyone get an idea what place in line your at..

I have the same thought Boogsdad, hopefully someone else can help us out. Does anyone know how many more placement runs there will be? Is it till end of year or till the first day of class next semester???

However, I just got accepted to Banner Fellowship March 2009 @ MCC, so I went in and tried to drop all my selections, and it wouldn't let me. So, I only made 1 selection as SCC's partnership program which I don't qualify. I don't want my name to come up and take the spot from one of ya'll waiting on a defferal. Banner won't pull me off the list until Dec 1st. Hope you all get placed, it feels amazing!!

Thanks for doing that Massage... (Congrats on Banner, I'm glad you didn't go the go the private route)

Boogs youre in first place on this thread... youre 60 plus spots (seconds) in front of me... (also, they have only a spring and fall placement run)

I know I've seen about 10-15 October folks post on this board so maybe we'll get a good response...

There's only a handful of spots for tomorrow so I'm not holding my breath. But another poster just told me that they releaase the partnership spots right before the semester starts... and there's still about 80-90 of those available - so some of us still have a chance.

Phx College is also at the top of my list.

My choices are 1.Mesa CC and 2.Chandler-Gilbert accel.

I am thinking that my chances are still a longshot, but I figure, what the heck... and I'll tell ya, if I do get placed, I am going to be the happiest dude on the planet. If you hear a obnoxiously loud cheer of joy, that was just me. Don't panic. :roll

I did change one of my choices from Gateway 4 semester to Phoenix accelerated since Gateway had one slot, while Phoenix accelerated had 3. So I have 20 chances.

Does anyone know if they cleared out those who didn't respond yet? Wouldn't that make more slots?

Hi Boogsdad,

I don't think that they have included the people who haven't responded yet in the available count because last week the application status page said that applicants have until 10am (last minute much?!?:bugeyes:) on 11/18 to return their intent status. So good news for us meaning that a few more spots will open up right before the run tomorrow morning. You have a wide range of program choices, meaning your chances might be pretty good.. the bad news is I think we may still be in the 9-12 month bracket because I have been watching it since about september and it the # of people in the 12-15 month bracket hasn't moved up a substatial amount yet...:( It also says that there are only 87 people in the 12-15 month and judging by the range of our timestamps, I'm pretty sure there's way more than 87 people who applied in Oct.... hope that helps!

Hey Boogsdad,

I'm pretty sure that those who did not respond to placement letters aren't going to show up on available spots. They give everyone who recieves a placement letter exactly 2weeks to respond. So they have until 10am tomorrow before they go offline again to respond to placement letters. Hopefully there were alot of people who didn't respond. I really hope we all get in for spring:D.

I don't see how that is possible. October to October is12 months alone. It doesn't make sense. If we are still in the 9-12 month bracket, then we still have a chance of not getting in for Fall of 2009. How is that possible?
