OCCC Traditional Fall 2022

Published

Haven't seen a post for this yet but since applications are open I figured I'd start one! Anyone else trying to get in for this fall? How many points are you applying with?

I really hope 16 is enough! I’m tired of waiting to see?

4 weeks is this Friday ?

Yes! It seems like most people find out the first Monday of May. So I’m hoping we’ll know by the second!

I’m not expecting to get in since only one of my science courses got me preference points.. I finished the rest of my science courses this may ☹️ But Im curious to know how far I’ll be waitlisted LOL.

How many points and what GPA do you have?

It was 14 or 15 points. My GPA was pretty good! I tried to pull up my app to remember how many I had but it’s not letting me anymore

Oh okay! I thought you were applying with 16 for some reason. There’s so many people on this forum I can’t keep up LOL. But I was talking to a girl who got in in the Spring and she was somewhere in the 20s on the waitlist so it’s definitely possible!

I thought  for sure I was going to have 16 but one of the courses I was counting on for preference points ended up not counting! I’m okay with it either way though. I’m doing this with 3 kids (6,4, and 5 months) LOL! So I don’t intend to start working for at least 3 years. I’m going to get my BSN after my RN!

That in itself is a huge accomplishment! I’m just doing this with a husband and a dog and that alone is already stressful I can’t imagine with kids LOL. I’m proud of you and wish you the best of luck! My GPA is pretty low (2.99) and I only had 16 points so I’m crossing my fingers and hoping to get in or be pretty high on the alternate list.

Aww, thank you! It’s fun LOL! Makes it exciting. Especially with nutrition, A&P, & Chemistry all in one semester ?? Congratulations! 16 points I bet will get you in.

I’m debating on applying for the Spring cohort if I don’t get in this fall just cause the night cohort hours would be really hard for me with the kids! Does anyone know what they normally are?
