Haven't seen a post for this yet but since applications are open I figured I'd start one! Anyone else trying to get in for this fall? How many points are you applying with?
I am taking the TEAS on the 21st also! If I can get a 79 or above on that, I’ll be applying with 17 points.
I took the reading Accuplacer recently, and I thought it was pretty easy. It’s an adaptive test, so the questions can get a little tricky towards the end. Since you got an 81.3 on the TEAS, I think you’ll do great!

I’m only getting a point as well for my GPA(2.909 like can we please just round it up?!). Also due to my early college years, while dealing with a significant family trauma. I got four points for the TEAS though(81.3%). I’m from Mississippi and never had to take an accuplacer test. So I’m taking reading and English next week (don’t have to take math due to my ACT scores). Are those test hard? I have zero idea what to expect. If I can get the two points from those tests I’ll have 16 points in total to a

the accuplacer tests are super easy in my opinion. Basic stuff.
Whoops! You’re totally right. I misspoke, my apologies. Wish the classes I am in now ended sooner cause THEN I would get one GPA point.
Good to hear that the accuplacers aren’t too difficult. I assumed it wouldn’t be as hard as the TEAS, but like I said I wasn’t too sure. I will say the math portion on the TEAS is SUPER easy. I scored a 96. English was way easier than I expected too. Reading is tricky, but doable. Science was ? and I’ve taken all of my required science courses, so that says a lot.
I am only taking the reading Accuplacer since it’s required and no replacement is accepted! However I’m getting 2 points for both the math and English from my ACT scores. On our app it states that you get 1pt with a minimum GPA of 3.0.. I was hoping to get at least 2 for my GPA.. but unfortunately my classes won’t update in time either!
Congratulations, y'all! 17 points is amazing! I've been debating on applying since I will only have 16, and it seems like it is super competitive this application period. If only my classes would be updated I would be going in with more preference points. I'm going to meet with advising this week, and if they are still encouraging I'll be submitting mine this weekend.

I was wondering if you had submitted your application.. That’s awesome! I’d say you still have a good chance with 16 points.
I also applied to UCO and just found out last week that I was accepted!
If I get an acceptance letter from OCCC, I’m honestly not sure which program to choose..

Thank you! (Not going to lie the radonda case definitely made me question if nursing is still what I want to pursue). However, I’m honestly really excited! After all the struggles I’ve overcome, it is an accomplishment in itself to be able to apply!
OMG congratulations!! That’s huge!! Will you have to accept your offer before knowing the outcome of OCCC’s application? If I had the classes to apply for a BSN I would totally do it, because to me if I can get it done and over in one go that is what I’m going to do. I’m so over school haha! Selfishly hoping I get to meet you in OCCC’s program though. Follow your heart and everything else will fall into place.
