I am a native Korean with U.S. citizenship and have a U.S. RN license. I know that OC has somewhat of a "Koreatown" and I was wondering if anyone knew where my Korean lanuage skills would be beneficial as a Nurse?
Any info or advice about this or simply relating to "Koreatown" would be very much appreciated.

I took lessons and purchased an instrument from Ray Choi at his shop in Orange County.
He is an amazing musician and teacher. He plays and teaches violin, viola, cello, bass, guitar, and autoharp. He also accepts compliments well. He agrees that he is very talented as a teacher as well as a musician.
He teaches retired Korean immigrants who perform in churches throughout the area.
It seems like a very nice place to live. If I spoke Korean it would be even better.

In Los Angeles St. Vincent Medical Center has a unit that caters to Korean patients. They are always needing nurses who speak Korean.
I have friends who work there who are excellent nurses and nice women.

My friend is from Korea and has never heard of an area of Orange County which is labeled Korea Town. There are areas where you will find a concentration of Korean people but the only Korea Town my friend has heard of is the Korea Town in Los Angeles, which is also known as "K Town".

There is Little Saigon in Garden Grove. I think it's off of Beach Blvd, but I'm not positive. Maybe you want to try to google it.
There is a Vietnamese Nurses Association in Orange County.
The area near the music store is mostly Korean speaking people. They have a custom of blunt honesty I really enjoy.

Yes, there is a Koreatown in the downtown L.A. area. However, I've seen Korean speaking patients in all of the L.A. hospitals where I did my clinical. None of the nurses spoke Korean, so you'd be an asset anywhere in Los Angeles.

When heading west bound on the 22 freeway, if you exit Brookhurst there is a sign that states Little Saigon turn Left, and Korean Community Turn Right. I think this is right. In Garden Grove, CA (Orange County) there is a nice sized Korean community. I would suspect UCI medical center, Garden Grove Hospital and St Jude (Fullerton) get a good number of korean clients.
