Obnoxious co-workers...

How about coworkers who send you chain letters in your office email? Or message with a religious theme (usually Christian; I am Jewish)? I really don't care to discuss my beliefs or faith with my coworkers, so why send me that type of stuff? I don't get it.

Actually the same thing happened at my work, & the warden put a stop to any email with a "religious base" was forbidden so not to offend any one of any religion! Best idea ever! :yeah:

2 things that don't belong at work, politics & religion! Bad ideas!!

Hell our warden went so far as to make a policy that we can not participate actively in any campaign or wear or support openly any campaign even on our cars, he doesnt want anything sparking a "shift" in the generally calm work environment i.e. political issues that cause alot of hardfeelings i.e. abortion ..capital punishment..etc . (since we do work in a prison full of criminals)... :argue: he is trying to cut down on "hot topics of debate"

Obnoxious co-workers are the WORST!! right now i have an RN we call her Snooty, she has been working for us for 1 1/2 mths, but proceeds to argue w/ myself of 6 yrs in prison & my co-worker who has 11 yrs in prison......:argue:... about policy & procedure! hahahaa some of them just don't learn to shut the heck up & do their job!!! :eek:

Obnoxious people are everywhere but you have to be the one that can either "hey, knock that off, no time / room here for that"...... or two...... no Mr. Jones, your wife infact didnt work today, i'm sorry you got misinformation!! We actually had a co-worker do the same thing, call into work & then want us to tell her husband she was there! HAHAHA no, he called we said nope she is off sick today............ No lies! sorry guys!

The wild wild world for nursing! ha good to see its not just my work that is all sorta messed up w/ this stuff from time to time!!!

ugh!

I work with this woman that is so obnoxious that nobody wants to work with her. shes the type that has no boundaries whatsoever. she tells detailed stories of her life that would have been best not told...ever.

she told us how her teenage son and his friends like to get her "toys" out of her bedroom and sniff them. who would tell that???????

she has been in a bitter custody battle for 2 yrs over her little one. she recently lost custody to the dad and she still thinks she does nothing wrong!

she just keeps talking, even when you say "i dont want to hear it!".

she put almost naked pics of herself on the internet. then she pulled them up at work to show them to people!

it's less painful to beat your head against the wall than it is to work with this one.

Nurses do have a code of ethics, I am not sure what state you live in but we are to carry ourselves in a professional manner, you may want to email the Nursing board & ask about Mediaography being in your nursing code of ethics, she could be fired for exposure of self? check it out?

I work with a guy who is the worst possible combination of Dr. Phil and Pollyanna. He's also nosy as hell and loves to brag about his numerous accomplishments!

When he got his new luxury SUV, he took everyone out to take a look at it! He'd pull me aside to show my how he had been interviewed on his alma mater's website and how many degrees he has. He's always talking about how he makes over $100K/year with the combination of nursing and his other career. Uh, there are plenty of successful people in this world who are self-aware enough to know that nobody except them are going to give a crap!

He's always commenting on my moods and lecturing me on my mannerisms. Uh, I'm busy. If I'm not smiling and running around, it means that I'm busy! He gets offended really easily about how people talk to him and expects everybody to be in a great big group hug.

Going into nursing, I thought that I'd have problems being in an almost completely female workplace. While I've had some problems like that, I've had far more problems with my male coworkers! The problem ones seem to see themselves as beacons of wisdom, and thus invite themselves to be your own personal Dr. Phil. Mind your own business, I'll take my orders from the Charge Nurse! They also do the absolutely obnoxious thing of telling you that you need to smile more!
