Hi there! Went really well, although in my naiveness did ask some question about the lab and discovered the lab doesn't do draws so that will be a new thing for me...Also, as our unit in the old place was the only one without pxysis, it took me awhile to actually qualify on the tutorial, not because I found it difficult , but I somehow managed to erroneously qualify under the previous students name..
A little shocked at the flexibility of the manager as I am not accustomed to that, but everyone seems genuine and friendly so far and I am excited and normal nervous..Getting used to the day shift hours has been GREAT for the family but a little weird for this night nurse....Oh well, nights to come all too soon!

Thanks Mark! It actually has been a great experience so far..And new experiences broadens the horizons, right? This is the first hospital I have been at where EVERY floor draws their own bloods...

Thanks! I started an iv after another nurse had one infiltrate and drew the bloods. That was actually pretty neat..Just trying to get used to less intervention, less equipment, different equipment and more paperwork....Really great to be only 10 minutes away too...
