Was a girl named Sunny DeLight" some years back. Shame it's legal to do this to people.

Thank you all!! That was REALLY funny to me, especially at 1am! :chuckle

Now for the baby names : went to high school with a girl who named her baby Nevaeh (Heaven backwards) and my sister just named her baby boy Enten Van. Hmm, It'll have to grow on me!

"Enten Van." Hmmmm. That would take a LOT of getting used to.

Now--Van HALEN, on the other hand, would ROCK!!!! :Melody:

there is an obgyn where i used to work named dr. fingerhood! :rotfl:

There's a guy--a grown up now--who changed his first name, once he was of legal age, to "Trout Fishing In America" (because he was a huge fan of the late Richard Brautigan, and that book, by Richard B., was apparently one of his favorites.) I think he just goes by "Trout" these days.

Specializes in ER.
I actually think it is spelled Dorcas

Dorcas is actually a name from the Bible... I have heard this name over and over, and until now, have never thought of how it might be construed....

took care of an infant just last week named heaven leigh.....

i have a friend who named her little girl heaven elizabeth. my oldest son's name is zade davis, davis is my mother's maiden name, zade is from a great uncle i had never met, just liked the name. not really strange, just different.

I have a good friend that named her baby Corbin Bryce.... He has his daddy's name for the middle name, but I had never heard of Corbin.. sounds very distinguished.

The strangest I've ever heard was Darkus River (can you guess the last name? Yep, waters)[/quote

I knew a nursing tech. named Darkus London. I think it is an interesting name.

As I am sitting here thinking about these very interesting names and I guess I need to state that I have also given my daughter an interesting middle name. I could blame it on the epidural but the truth is I decided on the name while driving to the hospital! Her name is Madeline Elton Alexis (she has two middle names). She has a personality that can be rough and tough and does not take s*** off of anyone, so I have also given her the nick name Madeline Elton John Wayne. :chuckle

She actually enjoys her odd middle name. In a sense I carried on a family tradition without thinking about it because I have a masculine middle name (ALEX) and my first daughter also has a masculine middle name (Aaron).

as a labor and delivery nurse i have seen the name heaven quite a bit lately. i have known of two little girls named heaven nevaeh (pronounced neh vay uh) and a set of twins named heaven and neveah. neveah is heaven spelled backwards!

How about Candy, Mandy and Brandy ....... Bearss?

I went to school, with this girl from Elementary-High School... She was a friend in my early school days, but became quite strange in high school and got the name Venus from Mars??? Not from me, but some of the other clowns we had throughout school :chuckle
