fill out an incident report at work that night and now my MD is saying its a workmans comp case and he wont see me. I went to a doctor that does workman comp cases and they say workmans comp wont pay because there was no incident report filed and my insurance wont pay because its a workmans comp case. Meanwhile, im stuk in my bed in mad pain and cant afford to self pay. does anyone have any ideas on what i shud do?

Were any of your coworkers aware that you hurt your back that night? They may be able to attest in your defense that you did indeed hurt yourself at work. You may also need to contact an attorney. The lesson learned here, even when it seems minor...ALWAYS fill out an incident report when you get hurt at work. Good luck to you.

the other lesson is, if you are not going to claim WC, KEEP YOUR MOUTH shut about it happening at work.....

I hurt my back at work once. Fortunately the hospital followed up and filed a WC for me. It turned out to be 2 fx @ T 11 region!

For that reason I would not feel comfortable giving anything that is either PT or medical advice. If it is spasms that is keeping you in bed, have you tried heat?, Motrin in large doses, like 2400 mg +?

I can sympathize and empathize with your pain. Back pain is scary as well as debilitating. :sniff:

Perhaps, at this point, maybe all you can do is find another dr. ASAP for your pain. And, as OP said do not tell them that you injured it at work. You can claim that you do not know why, but your back has started hurting you. I hope you find relief!

amen..now i know

thats my plan. i have a dr appt on wed. thanks for the reply
