I already have BA and I want to go to NYU nursing but for the traditional program not the accelerated. Has anyone who already has a BA gotten accepted?? Do they look at your overall GPA or do they focus mostly on your prereqs/science courses? Is it difficult to get accepted? Do most graduates go on to work for NYU Medical center?

I applied to NYU for Spring 09 as a second degree student and recently found out I was accepted to the program. I also was interested in the traditional program, but have recently decided to attend another university.
I did not take any of the science prereqs and was still accepted, so I am going to assume they look more at your GPA from your first degree as well as your essays/personal statements/letters of rec. However, I'm sure every student is looked at differently... I had a GPA of a 3.4
As far as where NYU graduates go on to work, I can't answer that stuff sorry!! Hope I helped a bit.

what ???
seriously ???
I know they accept students who haven't completed prereqs on the condition that they complete them before the 1st day of class, but you're saying they just accepted you with no conditions at all?
no chemistry?
no A&P
no micro?
I've heard there are schools out there that do that, but they don't say it publicly that they do that; they have an official policy, but also an unofficial one
yes, I was accepted without the prereqs. It says on the website that you can apply without them and still be accepted into the nursing program (about halfway down the page). Essentially, the first semester at NYU would be the prereqs and the following semester the actual nursing courses/clinicals would begin
