NYU hiring process

U.S.A. New York

Published

Hello I recently applied for a position at NYU, they sent me an email recently saying to complete an online questionnaire or assessment tool. Is that a good sign? Do I have a good chance of hearing back?

Would anybody who received a job offer from NYU be willing to share what happens after you receive an offer? In terms of the pre-employment screening?

Specializes in AGACNP-BC/Emergency/Trauma/Critical Care Nursing.

They sent me an email saying that I need to do background check and complete pre-hire documentations (5 references, former employment and school info etc). I think I also took medication math test. After all these requirements are fulfilled, they will send you further information about hospital wide orientation, medical clearance, pay and benefits etc.

What does the former employment document involve? Do you have to list all of your previous employers or just the most recent one?

Only wondering if I have to fill out all of my former employers, as I'm having trouble getting in touch with a previous supervisor. Do you include all of your employers on the former employment form or just your most recent?

and thank you for your help!

If you graduated from NYU Rory Meyer's, is there a better chance to get a job at Langone?

Yes there is but right now they are on a hiring freeze .

Do you, or does anyone one know when the hiring freeze will end? Or have any information about it?

I was told that I have an offer waiting but I won't receive it until the hiring freeze is over. I've been waiting for a few months now.

Any information is welcome! Thank you :)

No one knows. Maybe Feb/Apirl?

Yes I had a phone screen. They can hire new grads first of every month, but they prefer that you have your license before you apply.Thats what one of the recruiters told me doing the process. I had an interview with them and she said she would get back to me oneness I have my NCLEX date. Hang in there!!!

Do you have to have your BSN to be considered or can you be hired with an Associates?

They are a magnet hospital, so bsn they don’t take associate
