Hello I recently applied for a position at NYU, they sent me an email recently saying to complete an online questionnaire or assessment tool. Is that a good sign? Do I have a good chance of hearing back?

So I was told that there are just 2 days of strict orientation- that Mon and Tues, 8-4ish, each day split in half between office-type stuff and time on the floor. I'm not sure what happens after those 2 days, but it seemed like we might be heading straight to the floor with our preceptor. But if anyone has heard anything else, please let us know!

Hi! were you hired for the Perioperative position? WOndering too what happens after monday and tuesday. Has anyone found out about parking yet?

Yes, and she was aware that I graduated last week as well. I was just curious!

Oh! Good luck! It could be the unit you told them that you wanted may have more room for spots if it's directly with the manager!

Did anyone have an interview this week? If so what did they ask and how did it go?

Hello all! I am a December 2017 grad and have accepted a position for a start date of February 5th. I was not provided with much information as to the paperwork process. What do we need to do before our start date in regards to a physical, paperwork, etc.? Thank you and happy holidays!

Hey I had my interview yesterday and they gave me an offer. I had an interview with the nurse manager and the clinical resource nurse and it lasted for about 2 hours. The interview itself was not bad at all, felt more like a conversation rather than an interrogation. They went through my resume and asked me specific questions about my experience during clinical (I'm a new grad). They asked why I wanted to work for NyU and why specifically that floor there were other questions but I don't remember it, sorry!

Thanks! Can I ask which unit it was for?

Congrats Tbrn2017! Is it for an inpatient unit? Also, did they offer you the job on the spot? Is it for a January start? (Sorry thats a lot of questions) Congrats again!!

Was it a med-surg unit or more specially like ICU/stepdown?

Just curious because I am Dec Grad and they just called me today but I missed the call!

The manager told me they were going to call me next week with the final answer but then 2 hours later, I got a phone call from HR saying they want to extend an offer. It's a cardiac unit and start date for January 8

Congratulations!! So happy for you!! I hope I hear something soon. :)

Would anyone mind sharing their recruiter email with me? The recruiter I talked to is not responding to my emails. I am a new grad with my license already. It looks like there are a lot of opening left and I would love to work for NYU.

Congrats to all those with offers !

Hi Nursingstudentmoe,

Did you end up interviewing for inpatient? Have you received any updates regarding OR?
