NYU hiring process

U.S.A. New York

Published

Hello I recently applied for a position at NYU, they sent me an email recently saying to complete an online questionnaire or assessment tool. Is that a good sign? Do I have a good chance of hearing back?

No clue, but i recall them saying they are hiring for January, February and even March at the interview day

Hi guys!

Background: Applied in Sept for Fall 2017 New Grad, Phone call was in Nov, waiting for in interview day.

She just emailed me saying..."We are extending offers from our first round of interview days. When that process is complete I will have a better idea of what positions remain for Dec. grads. Please follow up after the first of the year."

She told me previously that there will be a new grad interview day during this month. I'm assuming this is because of the interview day they had in Oct and they're not done with the hiring process.

I think it was around 40-60 interviewees for peri-op

Hey did anyone that was offered the other week gotten their official offer email yet?

Nope. I called them this morning and was told I should expect it by the end of the workday today, which didn't happen, so hopefully tomorrow!

I was told last week by my recruiter that official emails would go out today, the 6th.

Anyone in Peri-op receive an offer yet?

@MellRN @AFH20 thanks!!

Hi! I received the offer email today! Seems like there's a good amount of stuff to do before Jan 8. Also, for those who accepted the offer, did you guys get night shift and do you guys plan on moving to the city? Also, are all our positions definitely for the new building once it opens?

What unit was it for? Inpatient?

@kmichellex I am in the same boat as you. I was told after my phone call in Nov that I would be invited for a group interview in Dec, but that the date had not yet been determined. HR asked me to get back in touch for the date mid-November and when I did, I was told that it had not yet been scheduled and to reach out again the first week of December. When I wrote to HR this week, I recieved a similat message as you did. Fingers crossed that there will still be available positions after nurses have been selected from the first round-- NYU is my first choice and I was really looking forward to the interview!

Just received my rejection letter after waiting 7 weeks for an answer. I'm upset but it is what it is. Oh well
