NYU Fall 2018

Published

Hi, I'm starting this thread because there are only Accelerated BSN threads out there. If you applied to NYU's nursing program as a transfer student without an undergrad degree, I would love to hear from you! I recently found a traditional transfer thread from many years ago and it seemed like not many of the applicants were accepted. This has me worried as I applied as a traditional transfer, regular decision. Is there a possibility NYU only really considers students as traditional freshmen and ABSN students?

does nyu look at your overall GPA or just the classes that fulfill the pre reqs?

when do you think we'll find out?

Honestly I have no idea what they look for, I have heard so many different things from grades to holistic to activities etc.

I hope you guys hear back soon to so you can make a decision.

Good Luck.

@magnanimity thank you. Good luck to you too. I hope you get in!

Hey guys,

I also applied as a transfer student to NYU Meyers from BMCC. Super nervous and I asked admissions when we'll hear back, they said letters would go out mid may/early June. So glad I found this thread! Hopefully we all get in :)

I only have a 3.3 gpa so I doubt I'll get in

Don't lose hope, there are plenty of people who had low 3.0's and got in. NYU focuses on the entire application rather than just your GPA.

@wafa.ottman thank you so much

hey guys! just found this page so commenting a little late, but I applied as a transfer to NYU from community college and I got my acceptance decision letter on april 25. good luck to everyone awaiting decisions!! (:

@slee0351 That's awesome! What was your GPA and how many credits did you have?

My GPA is 3.83 and I have 86 credits completed with 11 in progress.
