I have noticed there isn't a thread for those applying for NYU Accelerated Nursing Fall 2014. Let's share feedback, advice, stats, etc... I went to an open house today at NYU. They really do stress that since there is no interview, the personal statement is our chance to prove ourselves. They also said they get about 1,000 applicants and a Fall entrance class usually have about 150 students in it.
Oh wow... I'm from long island but it's almost 2 hr train ride for me... I'm thinking bout finding an apt off campus. Not the skool apts. But not sure yet...
Hi Everyone! Congratulations to all of those accepted! I'm so excited!! I'm looking at housing too, and I'm thinking of living on campus for convenience. Anyone else looking into living on campus? I figure I can always move off campus before the Summer session starts, worst comes to worst. I'm looking for roommates, and I think it would be great if a group of us could live together!
I too am thinking of living on campus for convenience (even though I am from NJ). I don't exactly know how the housing works, although I would love to have a group to study and live together! Do you know if there is an Open House or something of that nature to look at the facilities?
I just emailed the Assistant Dean and she said there is a meet and greet on Monday May 12th in the nursing building 10th floor at 6:00. I did see that, I still have to 100% decide about accepting. I will wait until after the meet and greet. Which dorms did you apply for?
Has anyone already paid a deposit for one school but got into another school of choice ? I am about to pay the deposit for my school of choice and already gave a different deposit in a month ago for a different school. Do I just call the admissions office of the other school and tell them I won't be attending or is there a different way?

Not sure about housing yet. I'm from Florida so if I go to NYU I definitely want to check out the area. are you planning on living on campus?
