Hello,
I have noticed there isn't a thread for those applying for NYU Accelerated Nursing Fall 2014. Let's share feedback, advice, stats, etc... I went to an open house today at NYU. They really do stress that since there is no interview, the personal statement is our chance to prove ourselves. They also said they get about 1,000 applicants and a Fall entrance class usually have about 150 students in it.
What part of the application process are you in?
How is the personal statement going?
How many pre-reqs do you have left?
Hey all. I found out this morning I got in as well. Been following this forum but my 1st time posting on this thread. I'm so happy. I thought I was gna go bak to bing which is skool I graduated from... but will be withdrawing from bing and will attend nyu .. I'm so excited to meet u all :)
Hey everyone, I found out yesterday morning that I was accepted.=) However, I am not going to attend due to the cost. I do not want to take out that much money for a second bachelors degree. I may consider NYU for the RN-MSN program later on though. Good luck to all! =)
congrats @planemo! even though you are not going.. I know you had been waiting since the very beginning!
Hi everyone! I just received my acceptance notification on Thursday and I'm trying to figure out what the exact cost of tuition will be. I'm not sure what to make of the breakdown that NYU has provided online and I've seen previous posts stating that the range is between 76-100k:
Full time students, tuition, 12 to 18 units flat rate, per term$21,236.00.
Nonreturnable registration and services fee for flat rate, per term$1,188.00
Additional tuition, 19 or more units per term, per unit (includes a nonreturnable registration and services fee of $64.00)$1,315.00 Tuition, per unit$1,251.00.
Nonreturnable registration and services fee:
First unit Fall Term 2013$443.00
First unit Spring Term 2014$461.00
Nonreturnable registration and services fee, per unit, for registration after first unit $64.00.
Can someone please clarify?
Thanks!
@Sjac ~ I do know that the program is 4 semesters, and as you indicated, $21,236 per semester. So that's about 85k for flat tuition. As far as the other fees, I would clarify those with NYU (email/call them). You can probably speak with a financial advisor or someone in the bursar office to confirm those fees. gl!
Hey everyone!
I have been following this forum, but this is my first post. I was just accepted for Fall 2014 for the accelerated nursing program. I am beyond excited, but a little concern about the tuition cost. I am from California, so this would be a big move for me. With tuition and living expenses, it sounds like it will be a lot of $$$. If anyone finds anymore information about the financial aid and tuition cost keep me posted. Congrats to everyone who has been accepted and hope everyone hears back soon!
Also if anyone has found a review page about the program I would love to know the site. I know there is a post by a girl named jess discussing her experience, but I want more of a variety of reviews. I want to see if it is worth it to fly across state for this program. I have applied to one other school in California for a masters program that I am waiting to hear back from as well. Having a hard time making a decision.
Hi Katielynn,
I'm from California too and will be attending fall 2014 at NYU. We should chat. My email is [email protected], if there is anyone else from california that will be attending, please message me

Hello I applied for NYU MSN and adult primary NP program for Fall 2014. I spoke with the graduate admission coordinator today and she advised me that my application - I submitted in March is currently under review. She also said that they would be sending out emails in Mid or Late July for Rejection, Wait List or Acceptance. Advised me to call back then.
