I have noticed there isn't a thread for those applying for NYU Accelerated Nursing Fall 2014. Let's share feedback, advice, stats, etc... I went to an open house today at NYU. They really do stress that since there is no interview, the personal statement is our chance to prove ourselves. They also said they get about 1,000 applicants and a Fall entrance class usually have about 150 students in it.
Well the original release date they gave was April 1st after 5pm...maybe they changed the date but are still expecting it to be after 5pm.... I'm just making up excuses for why I haven't heard yet lol
If I don't hear anything on Thursday, I think I'm going to call... I sent my application in around Sept/Oct of last year...This is taking waaaaaay too long.
I don't want to be a Debbie Downer, but after looking at the 2013 forum.... this is what I'm thinking...
If you didn't hear by now (myself included), you "probably" won't hear until the first week in May. It seems like last year people who were accepted in the first two weeks of April had until May 1st to make a decision. Then, when more spaces open up due to people declining their offers, NYU sends out another round of acceptance emails.
I have no inside knowledge whatsoever. So I may very well be talking nonsense, but I'm so over waiting anxiously every Tuesday and Thursday...
