Hi! I figured I start a thread (I know it's super early, but I can't be the only one that plans ahead!) for Fall 2020 admissions!
I started my application and hope to find someone else out there going through this process. I have a question though after reading other NYU ASBN threads:
Are we allowed to submit an application if we have some prerequisites courses in progress? I plan to take the remainder of my prereqs (nutrition, statistics, chem, and dev psych) during spring 2020 semester.
I'm super nervous! I have by BS in Early Childhood Education - totally different spectrums. Goodluck to everyone! Hope to hear back from someone soon ?

wait what? so you haven’t gotten your degree yet? I thought that’s a requirement?
Just now, Friturita said:For those who got in, how many of your classes were hybrid/or online? I took a good amount of my classes via hybrid format, and I know that hurts my app but it wasn't feasible for me to try to take all my classes in person while working.
The only class that I’m taking online is nutrition (I haven’t done that yet). I’m enrolled in human anatomy & physiology II right now which technically went online because of everything going on
I believe I read that they prefer that only developmental psych and nutrition are taken online if you have to

Youre right, they do say that. I took lifespan and nutrition completely online, and took stats in a hybrid format. Currently taking my last pre-req, APII, in a hybrid format as well (transitioned to completely-online in the wake of the virus naturally).
it'd suck not to get in based off of that, but it is what it is at this point.
Congratulations to those who got accepted! If you guys dont mind, can you share your stats?
It's definitely a tough time right now with the virus going on, everything seems to be delayed. Good luck to everyone and stay positive even though this waiting game is torture! ? Stay safe and healthy as well.
@FutureNurseJen that would also be so helpful for me to know!
Does anyone know why they are releasing acceptances once a week instead of just all at once? And if I haven't gotten accepted yet (especially with my lower GPA of a 3.0), is it definite that I am not getting in?
RT to the waiting game, it's so hard!
CONGRATS everyone ❤️
Hi everyone!
I heard back last Friday, 4/3, and just wanted to share some information regarding the tight turn around between acceptance/financial aid offers/deadline for accepting/declining the offer. The financial aid office seems to be delayed with financial aid packages, so we may not receive them in time to make a decision by 4/17, but if you e-mail [email protected] and explain the situation, they will provide you with a form that will allow you to request an extension on accepting/declining the offer. Hope this info helps someone who isn't eager to pay the deposit without knowing their financial aid first!
Also, for those of you curious about stats:
Undergrad: NYU CAS, Chemistry major, math minor, 3.199 GPA
Pre-reqs:
I also have about 4 years of clinical research experience working at a cancer center in the city.
Good luck to everyone and CONGRATS to those who heard back! ?
Thank you @mcziolko1 for sharing that information. Congratulations on your acceptance! ?
@emilycone Nothing for me either
