NYU ASBN Fall 2020

Published

Hi! I figured I start a thread (I know it's super early, but I can't be the only one that plans ahead!) for Fall 2020 admissions!

I started my application and hope to find someone else out there going through this process. I have a question though after reading other NYU ASBN threads:

Are we allowed to submit an application if we have some prerequisites courses in progress? I plan to take the remainder of my prereqs (nutrition, statistics, chem, and dev psych) during spring 2020 semester.

I'm super nervous! I have by BS in Early Childhood Education - totally different spectrums. Goodluck to everyone! Hope to hear back from someone soon ?

Hello everyone!

I applied to NYU about 2 weeks ago for Fall 2020. I wasn't able to submit before the priority date due to personal reasons. Will this affect my chances of getting in? If it does affect my chances, should I change it to Spring 2021? Btw, I have a GPA of 3.24 and over 2000 hours of clinical experience. Thank you!

I applied a couple days ago and my GPA is much lower than yours. Hopefully my essay and resume will help me get admitted. That's all I'm relying on at this point.

Hey all, so I submitted my application before March

does anyone know when we find out?

some people who applied for priority already got acceptance letters so hopefully we all hear back soon

this makes me 100x nervous. the acceptance rate went down. hopefully it’s still holistic for us

Hi! I am commenting so I can be updated on any new comments. I also applied for ABSN Fall 2020. Cum GPA 2.94. Prerequisite GPA a 3.5 I think. Submitted my app back in January. If you have gotten accepted, did you get notified through email or snail mail?

NEED ADVICE!

Super anxious because I applied to the non-accelerated second degree program at NYU. Is it even possible to get accepted with an undergraduate cumulative GPA of 3.0?! My letters of rec are good and hopefully my essay is strong too.. just waiting to hear back now and wondering if anyone has any insight
:)

I've definitely seen people get accepted with under a 3.0! They look at the whole applicant, from prereqs, to letters, to essay, to experience and passion!

Has anyone else heard back yet?

Quick question. I missed deadline to submit my application by yesterday, so I will try to apply for Spring semester. When you put college coursework to common app, do we need entry for prerequisite classes only?

Also, since NYU requires gen chem class with lab, is it okay any level of general Chemistry class with lab? because my school has gen chem as series.

Hey guys I just checked my portal and it updated to show my acceptance for the fall! Does anyone know how much time they give you to make the decision?

Good luck to everyone!
