Nyu Accelerated BSN spring 2014

Published

Hello everyone! I made this thread in order to find everyone is also also planning on applying NYU accelerated nursing program. The application for the spring opens on October 1st and I am so excited! :)

I have been accepted. I am thankful for the opportunity. Is anyone starting a Facebook group? I'd be interested to see who will be in attendance.

I submitted my app by the 10/1/13 priority deadline. I am assuming this is why I have been accepted early.

I do plan on accepting my admission. I am from California and will travel across country. I wish y'all luck.

Does anyone know the starting date?

Does anyone know the starting date?

January 27th is the start date

I had a 3.4 gpa, 2+ years hospital volunteer work, 2+ years working in an outpatient physical therapy clinic, and got my phlebotomy license a couple years ago. I believe my essay and letter of rec were strong parts of my application in addition to my healthcare experience. I applied in Oct before the regular deadline (not early admission) and received my acceptance this morning.

I was accepted yesterday too, I didn't pay an app fee so I didn't expect to hear back. I decided for another school and won't be going to NYU.

My overall Gpa was a 3.4, A's in most of my pre-reqs, 2 amazing recommendation letters and a killer essay (in my opinion).

Good luck to everyone!

Hi everyone!

I was wondering if anyone else has been accepted into the Spring 2014 cohort? I have a lot of questions that I want to discuss with someone, like where are you planning on living? I'm trying to decide if I should do on campus housing or not...I just have a feeling that these 2 months are going to fly by! I'm in Los Angeles so this is going to be a big move for me, if anyone wants to chat just let me know! Thanks!

Ok so I just read the most previous comments, (I'm new to this whole blogging thing), and I wanted to say congrats to those who have been admitted to NYU! We should get a facebook group started, does anyone know how many people will be in the cohort? Super excited to meet everyone! :)

Do you mind what other school you decided on? because I'm in the same situation as you. Can't really decide...

Hi Laura,

I am new to this blogging too... i thought i just posted something but it didn't work. Anyway, I got my acceptance email yesterday and I have a million questions as far as housing, loans, program details, etc. I heard that the cohorts were often larger (like 100+) but I am not sure. Also, I will be coming from Orange County- huge move as well so I can relate. Congrats to you and everyone else accepted so far..

It seems like those that have been accepted so far are from out west. Still waiting for my acceptance letter.... or denial letter. Hopefully, it's not the latter!!

It does seem that they are letting people know who live far away first. Rightly so as they have to make more preparations for school. I used my NY address so im thinking we in NY might find out later than those out west. Congrats to all have been admitted and I wish those luck who are still waiting.
