Nyu Accelerated BSN spring 2014

Published

Hello everyone! I made this thread in order to find everyone is also also planning on applying NYU accelerated nursing program. The application for the spring opens on October 1st and I am so excited! :)

hey all! for all of those that got their decisions already, when did you apply ? & Congrats!

B0816,

I'm still anxiously waiting !! Congrats to you as well ! Do you mind sharing your stats?

Congrats to everyone got in and don't give up others! I still haven't heard anything...

Thank you! Don't worry these schools never do acceptances in a specific order. I applied the day before the early decision deadline. My stats were 3.5 cum gpa, 3.6 pre requisite gpa. My volunteer experience was in physical therapy. I had strong recommendations and essay. I know people get in with much lower grades and much higher. Good luck!!!

Is anyone going to start a Facebook group? I'd love to meet some of our fellow classmates.

out of curiosity, when you all say what GPA you had, are we talking about a scale where an A- is a 3.7 or a 4.0? now that i know that admission decisions have started to go out, i am REALLY going insane. not so patiently waiting...

I think they mean 4.0... NYU is known by accepting some students with lower GPAs & saying no to those with higher, that's why Iam not even sure even though I have 4.0 gpa

My stats were 3.6 cumulative GPA and 3.3 in prerequisites. No volunteering experience, but very good recommendations and essay.

Good luck to everyone still waiting)

Not exactly sure what are they looking for but probably all factors add up & gpa doesn't matter

well, during the open house they said that the grades are important but recommendations and essay also play a very

significant role.

ok that makes me feel a little better. my GPA is just under a 3.2 but it is on a scale that +'s and -'s make a huge difference and doesn't include the year i did abroad. i saw my recommendation letter and i was amazed by what they had to say about me, and i also have some healthcare experience, so that's good! if i get in, i would be happy to make us a facebook page :)
