NYU ABSN Spring 2021

Hi all. I'm starting a forum for NYU Spring 2021. I know the application goes live soon so might as well make one now.

I applied for Fall 2020 but didn't get in so I'm applying for the second time. Good luck to us all!

I'm not sure if anyone cares but maybe this will help someone in the future. I started my personal statement last year and had multiple people & profs look over / edit it. I do feel like my personal statement was strong and did help me make up for the lack of experience and some of the B's I got. I asked for my LORs last year as well. I told my profs that application wouldn't start till months later but it was completed early and I feel like they might have expressed how I asked for it months in advance so maybe that helped. 

Also my friend is currently in the program and she said they already announced that next semester will be virtual as well. I'm not sure if this will affect anyone's decision. this was her first semester and her schedule is two online lectures (mon/wed) and clinical/stimulation were 4 hours on thurs/fri.

Congratulations on your acceptance-- I am so happy for you!

I am wondering if you by any chance would feel comfortable sharing your personal statement? While I know changes can't be made to essays now I am just curious to see what people included in theirs. Moreover, I think my personal statement is something that will help my application as well, since my undergrad GPA wasn't the best.

I spoke to someone from admissions earlier this week bc I’m getting too anxious and she told me a batch was going out this week. Good luck everyone!! She also told me they’re trying to send out decisions for applications that were submitted by the priority deadline first. Not sure how true that is but just figured I’d share.

It's okay. Don't dispair. Last I applied, my checklist disappeared a few weeks before I was even offered a spot on their waitlist. The check list disappearing could mean something, or it could mean nothing at all.
