Hey, this is super duper early but I figured we could get some questions, fears, or concerns talked through until March 1, 2021, for priority or April 1, 2021, for the regular decision to NYU's ABSN 15 month program for non-nurses. Please don't be afraid, Please share stats if you are comfortable doing so. It really does help cohorts after us figure out strengths and weaknesses to be better applicants. Hey, after all, It's all about helping each other out at the end of the day, right! Don't be shy, talk about where you're from and things you may be worried about for the application process. As well as other schools you might be applying for!

Yeah it seems as though they are saying the same stuff to everyone who calls. I am just trying to stay optimistic and trust the process but it is so discouraging seeing your peers receive their decisions while you sit around waiting. The first week of June is always when waitlisted/rejected letters are sent out and rarely are applicants accepted the first week of June so that is kind of disheartening too ?. Also, from the Fall 2020 thread, everyone who was waitlisted had to wait until July 15th to hear back and NYU ultimately completely cut their waitlist and no one was accepted off of it. So if we are waitlisted it looks like we could still be waiting until July 15th just to be rejected all over again LOL.

I hope this won't be the case, don't lose hope !

Yea, this is what I determined as well from last Fall cohort. I won’t lose hope until the end of May but June and then waitlisted until July just doesn’t go well with my sanity LOL. We shall see what happens.. good luck to us who are still waiting ? !!

But I just went into my portal and saw my acceptance there.. it doesn't feel real just yet but I guess it'll sink in. I wish all of you still waiting the absolute best of luck - and do not give up hope! the ones of you who've been accepted, I believe there is an existing FB group that I plan on joining now to get acquainted with folks. Can't wait to meet you all and start this journey (now it's time for me to sweat about loans once the initial excitement wears off hahaha)
Hi! Do you know the name of the group? I’m trying to join a group too to get some help. Also congrats!!
Hi all,
I was accepted earlier today ? ... I would love to meet those who are also in my cohort so I thought I'd introduce myself. I'm Samantha.
For those of you still waiting, I wouldn't lose hope yet knowing that I almost did. I applied on Feb 28th before the priority deadline and didn't hear back until today, May 17th. I actually checked my portal on a whim around 2:10 or so when I didn't see an email. I got the email maybe 5 minutes after I had already accepted the offer. I went to college for my first degree in Long Island and graduated with an STS degree, 3.51 GPA and all A's in my prereqs aside from B's in AP I and II. I had zero healthcare experience but did get my CNA, EKG, Phlebotomy, and CPR certs throughout 2020 while finishing college which I believe they really took into account. I also believe my essay played a role as well. I genuinely think they take a holistic approach, I however do not understand the order in which they accept applicants as I applied so early and heard back pretty late. So again do not lose hope!
I only applied to NYU and moved maybe two blocks away in pursuit of this degree and program so I feel so fortunate to have been accepted after taking such a huge risk. I hope you guys hear back soon and congrats to my fellow peers who did get in! I can't wait to meet you all!

Today was the first day I logged into the Albert portal. There is a button that says "View Application Status."
Hey everyone!
This wait has us all feeling super anxious.. did anyone else apply for financial aid? I did and my portal shows that NYU has received my FAFSA, although it's been that way for atleast a week now.. I'm trying to remain hopeful, but would also just rather bad news sooner than later if that's going to be the case in the end LOL wondering if anyone else's portal shows the same?
