NYU ABSN FAll 2021

Published

Hey, this is super duper early but I figured we could get some questions, fears, or concerns talked through until March 1, 2021, for priority or April 1, 2021, for the regular decision to NYU's ABSN 15 month program for non-nurses. Please don't be afraid, Please share stats if you are comfortable doing so. It really does help cohorts after us figure out strengths and weaknesses to be better applicants. Hey, after all, It's all about helping each other out at the end of the day, right! Don't be shy, talk about where you're from and things you may be worried about for the application process. As well as other schools you might be applying for!

It was just the general NYU Undergraduate Admissions phone number! I am sure they are advised to not give out any specific information and to be pretty vague so I am not surprised LOL.

I see no worries, I just wanted to know. We will just have to wait and see I guess, Hopefully we will get some good news soon !

I was just accepted! I am overjoyed - this is a huge moment I never thought would happen for me especially after turning 30 and changing careers so drastically. But I just went into my portal and saw my acceptance there.. it doesn't feel real just yet but I guess it'll sink in. I wish all of you still waiting the absolute best of luck - and do not give up hope! the ones of you who've been accepted, I believe there is an existing FB group that I plan on joining now to get acquainted with folks. Can't wait to meet you all and start this journey (now it's time for me to sweat about loans once the initial excitement wears off hahaha)

Congratulations!! ?

Hi everyone!

I was just accepted a few minutes ago. I didn't receive an email or anything I just felt like checking the portal and saw it said important application update. just an fyi, I don't have any medical/ clinical experience at all, I'm a non traditional applicant and am coming from a job as a paralegal, so there's hope!

Question for anyone accepted, does anyone understand the financial aid/ cost of attendance breakdown?

Huge congratulations to everyone excepted today! My portal still looks the same and I googled and logged into the Albert portal, and I do not see a button, so I think that today is not my day again. It is encouraging to hear that hopefully I’ll decisions will go out by early June, because at this point, I would like to just receive a rejection so that I can be done with hoping and waiting!

Hmm very interesting. When I called the gentleman asked for my NYU ID # and then said to give him a moment while he reviewed my application and status. Then came back saying "Okay everything looks complete. You should be hearing back by the 24th, latest would be the 31st. I am so sorry for the delay in releasing decisions." Literal word for word so I am not sure what to make of that LOL.

Yea I talk to a man who was very nice and yea I was told the same thing.

Congratulations to everyone that has been accepted today!!

At this point I’m realizing that I’ll be rejected/waitlisted. My checklist disappeared 6 weeks ago, I have a 4.0 in my masters, 3 years of clinical experience, and medical noncompliance research including training protocols for nurses. Since even with all of this it isn’t enough to hear back already, I have to assume. SIGH.

I am in a similar boat. High GPA and healthcare experience. Everything will happen in time, just keep being patient and considering different schools as well. We will get there eventually!

I’m so sorry you’re in the same position as well. I guess for us it’s based on luck. There’s LITERALLY nothing else we can do ?

for everyone calling, are you calling the rory meyers admission line or NYU undergrad admissions?
