NYU ABSN FAll 2021

Published

Hey, this is super duper early but I figured we could get some questions, fears, or concerns talked through until March 1, 2021, for priority or April 1, 2021, for the regular decision to NYU's ABSN 15 month program for non-nurses. Please don't be afraid, Please share stats if you are comfortable doing so. It really does help cohorts after us figure out strengths and weaknesses to be better applicants. Hey, after all, It's all about helping each other out at the end of the day, right! Don't be shy, talk about where you're from and things you may be worried about for the application process. As well as other schools you might be applying for!

I’m a traditional transfer student but if you call admission they would be able to give you a more accurate answer regarding your application status. 2 weeks from now or by the first week of June only pertains to my application so I could call to get a more accurate answer as it may be different then mines.

Hey everyone! I just got accepted! I checked the Albert portal and saw that there was an Acceptance button. I didn’t get an email from NYU for a decision. It may be too early in the day for everyone to get an acceptance, but praying for the rest of you!

I also got accepted on Albert today! But I will be declining my spot as I will be attending another school. Hope this helps anyone on the waitlist! Good luck everyone ?

To those that got accepted, did your update and withdrawl application buttons disappear beforehand?

yes everything is gone except for my name and status #

big congrats to those who are accepted into the program! I do not see any update on albert, and my applicant checklist has disappeared for a few weeks now...so at this point I have lost hope and  I don't think I'll be checking the portal religiously as I have been and im just waiting for the rejection email....

I just called admissions to get an application update and was told my decision would be arriving next Monday the 24th, absolute latest would be the 31st. I would be more hopeful if my decision was coming next Monday for sure, but the admissions person was pretty vague and said possibly the 31st at the latest which is not very promising since that is the first week of June and usually when waitlisted/rejected letters are sent out. Congrats to everyone accepted though! You are all more than deserving! ?

I called as well and they were even more vague, saying the latest applicants can hear back is early June. Hopefully this means you’ll hear back by the 31st.

I just called them as well, the lady on the phone said that they are not giving out specific application status for each specific person. Also she said they are sending out acceptances and rejections as we speak on the phone. She said decisions will be going out until the middle of June, but they do not look into each specific application and provide a status.

Hmm very interesting. When I called the gentleman asked for my NYU ID # and then said to give him a moment while he reviewed my application and status. Then came back saying "Okay everything looks complete. You should be hearing back by the 24th, latest would be the 31st. I am so sorry for the delay in releasing decisions." Literal word for word so I am not sure what to make of that LOL.

Hello everyone I am new to this chat, but I have been reading all your comments since the beginning. I applied for the non accelerated program, I am not sure if anyone applied for the non accelerated. I was also told that non accelerated and accelerated decisions go out at the same time, also for now it looks like everyone Monday is a decision day but she did tell me that decisions are also going out randomly during the week.

Honestly I have no idea, maybe I did not call the right place but the women was very vague. Do you happen to have the number of the person who you spoke with?

It was just the general NYU Undergraduate Admissions phone number! I am sure they are advised to not give out any specific information and to be pretty vague so I am not surprised LOL.
