Hello all,
I decided to start a thread for the NYU accelerated nursing program since I have not seen one for fall 2018:)
Called NYU myself yesterday regarding when we would receive acceptance letters. According to the person I spoke with , they start sending out letters mid April and then send the last of them in June. If you applied before March 1st you should hear from them from April to early May. Those who applied after March 1st hear back in June.
I applied to the ABSN program for fall 2018 as well, hopefully we hear back soon! I know the Accelerated BSN portion is 15 months, but can anyone clarify how long after that it would take to complete the MSN if we apply for the BS/MS option?
So I have anxiously been waiting on NYU's decision. This is probably the only Accelerated BSN program I have any chance of getting in because of their hollistic perspective and no minimum GPA requirement. I have A LOT of withdrawals on my transcript which some were definitely excusable but some were not, they were me just being stupid and not making up my mind. Nonetheless, I had advisors always making me feel like it was okay to Withdraw from a course. But I regret that now Anyways, I just checked NYU's Albert, and now it says "All admission decisions for Regular Decision applicants to all three of our campuses will be available through our online portal on Wednesday, March 28, beginning at 6pm ET." So I click on Online Portal and it brings me to a page that says Slate and "403 Forbidden." Have they still not updated their decisions or is my browser acting up? I'm so nervous! Good luck to all of you and I truly hope you all get the news you are hoping for soon!
Ime0709, my Albert says the same thing. I think that is mostly for first year admissions (incoming freshman). Maybe that will be the link will be how we access our decisions when they are released. Somewhere along the link it indicates we will be notified first via email when our decisions are ready. I got into University of Pittsburgh and will probably go with that school because it's not as expensive to live in Pittsburgh, but I'm curious about whether I get in and whether my decision changes based on that. Good luck to everyone!
Congratulations, AmyS4! That must be so exciting for you! And a big weight off your shoulders. I truly believe there is a school out there for everyone. Sounds like you have found yours! NYU is a bit expensive, but I am not sure I will have a choice depending where I get in. My backup plan is to apply to my Community College's RN program for Fall 2018. Which is not the worst thing that can happen, it will just take a much longer time for me to get to a BSN (14 months vs. 3 years). I do not know much of Pittsburgh, but I have heard good things about NYU. RN Programs - Registered Nurse || RegisteredNursing.org is a good website to look into if you are trying to get an idea how these programs are rated (but I doubt many employers look at that as much these days).

thank! I appreciate the advice! Essays are never my strong points, I have a hard time talking about myself sometimes.
