Hello all,
I decided to start a thread for the NYU accelerated nursing program since I have not seen one for fall 2018:)
Hello, everyone! I applied to the 15-Month Accelerated Program on February (the early admissions deadline was March 1st). However, there is a regular admissions deadline (April 1st). From what I have been reading in this thread and from what it says in Albert, we are supposed to start hearing back around mid-April, but I remember seeing somewhere when I applied that Transfer Students to Fall 2018 will not hear back until mid-June. Am I missing or misinterpreting information here?
Hi all, I am currently in the mist of my application for the regular admissions deadline (April 1). Do you all have any advice for the essay, resume presentation or advice in general?
I also saw on the website that, "Decisions are released on a rolling basis starting in June for the fall term". For those who were confused about when admission decisions would be released, hope this helps clear things up!

Since it's 500 words max, I felt I should focus on selecting the "right" thing to write about, and less on fancy prose or charming storytelling. I tried to be very succinct, clean, and deliberate with it. Ultimately, mine focused on my specific long-term professional goals and how NYU's program would facilitate those, my compatibility with the culture/environment of NYU, and when/how I decided to pursue nursing (which was a pretty straightforward and practical explanation, not a cutesy-cutesy story about a moment of inspiration--though not saying that would be a bad idea! just the approach i felt would best suit my individual application).
One piece of advice: I think getting good rec letters would help. And I think a good rec letter in this case would be one that talks about the NYU program and why specifically you are a good fit for it--not just a general description of how amazing you are.

I had that happen with three transcripts with my married name. When I called, two had been accounted for and one not. I have sent the one not accounted for twice and I sent it again a week ago. No update on Albert regarding having received it. I may order a sealed one sent to myself and then send it certified mail... Anyway, make sure the name is correct on your transcripts. :)
