Hello all,
I decided to start a thread for the NYU accelerated nursing program since I have not seen one for fall 2018:)
Hi all!
I applied to the priority deadline but had some issues with my transcripts which were not delivered by march 1st. I spoke with someone in the admissions board regarding my status (priority or regular) and they said that they have a grace period for supporting documents because this is a common problem for applicants. So as long as your transcripts were "posted" or received by march 9th your application is still considered priority.
Has anyone else heard back regarding your application status? This waiting game is giving me major anxiety! NYU is my one and only choice. I am currently on my last semester of my undergrad program and scheduled to graduate in May and I'm really hoping that my application was strong enough. My credentials are as follow:
Currently finishing Bachelors in Biology with a concentration in Health Sciences
Overall GPA: 3.2
Prerequisite GPA: 3.75
No previous professional clinical experience
2 years of cancer research (GBM specifically and exposure to other types for comparison purposes)
1 year of peer mentoring in cancer research workshops
Certification in Mental Health first aid
I applied to NYU, SHU, and will be applying to TESU and Rutgers once the semester is over. Also will be applying to my local community college RN program. Still debating if I want to be spending money on student loans for the next few years vs. starting a family after my degree. Good luck everyone!
Hey everyone,
I applied for the fall 2018 cohort as well. I'm just curious on a few things. For those of you who have been accepted, did you get an email confirmation of a decision beforehand? Also, would you share some details about your application? I am trying to see if I have a chance for this program. My undergrad GPA was a 3.3. I haven't heard back yet. I applied by the priority deadline.

Just spoke with an admissions counselor- sounds like the notification timeline is primarily based on how strong of a candidate they are, and secondarily based on when they submitted their application.
Congrats to all who have been accepted!
