Hello all,
I decided to start a thread for the NYU accelerated nursing program since I have not seen one for fall 2018:)
How is your experience with taking nursing exams at NYU? I understand nursing exams can be very difficult and challenging to the extent where it requires you to critically think as a nurse, but i was wondering how well the faculty prepares you for nursing exams. BTW: congrats on almost finishing up your first semester :-)
Hello guys! I remember when I applied I was on this blog as well searching for answers! I started the program this spring so in 2 weeks ill be done with my first semester. If anyone has any specific questions, feel free to send a message or respond to this.
Would you mind sharing what your weekly schedule has been like so far? Do you have downtime? Thank you for answering our questions! It really helps.
So I am guessing the next wave of admission's decisions goes out tomorrow? If you do get accepted can you continue to share your stats? We're dying over here LOL. Currently I am living in Queens, but If i get accepted I am hoping to meet some new city dwelling friends. Maybe crash on the couch if we have early clinical hours. I will pay for couch services haha. Good Luck!

I hope we could hear something back soon.
I have class everyday from about 8-11 except for the days I am in the hospital which are longer. Everyone's schedules vary so that isn't exactly what you might get. Some people have a day off, some don't. There is definitely down time if you don't procrastinate and put yourself on a schedule

yes I do. I met people from so many different educational/experience background. I know a lawyer, veterinarian, people with masters of all sort. It does not matter. Obv im sure health care experience may be a plus but there are people in my cohort who have never worked or volunteered in a health care setting.
