NYU ABSN Fall 2017

Hi everyone!

I was just wondering if anyone was applying to NYU for the ABSN program in fall 2017? I'm kind of nervous because my GPA isn't the highest since I had to work all four years to help pay for school which took away from my studying time. I do have work experience in the health care field and a little over 100 hours of health related volunteering. Also, how is everyone planning on paying for school since it is soo expensive?

Nope...they haven't for me. I believe on the website it says it takes 4 weeks for them to be inputted in!

How soon do you get an email from NYU with your Net/University ID in order to check your status of your application on Albert? I just recently submitted my online application and haven't received an email with the ID information. I only received an email stating that my application was successfully submitted.

Hello!

New to this thread. I submitted my application for the priority deadline and can't stop thinking about it! NYU is my top choice, so I'm very anxious for the decisions to be sent out. Anyone have any clue as to when they will be sent out? I'm thinking they wouldn't send any of them out before they review the applications submitted by the April 1 deadline???

Okay, I'm going to answer my own question. I was looking through the Fall 2016 thread and they started receiving their decisions one week after the April 1 deadline. I think the last decisions were sent out in early June so some applicants were waiting for a pretty long time. A few of them seemed to become very nervous and frustrated. I won't be going back on that thread cuz it was stressing me out! Haha

This is likely a reach school for me, but I would be thrilled if I got accepted. I have a 4.0 in my nursing pre-reqs (I've completed all of them) and a 3.9 in my undergrad, but I don't have the healthcare work experience that many other applicants seem to have. I worked in a totally different field so I just don't know if I have a decent shot. The program is too good not to at least try for, though.

Is everyone planning to find housing off-campus (I guess NYU doesn't really have a "campus" in the traditional sense of the word)? NYU has dorms but are they even available to ABSN students?

Hey Guys!

I submitted my application on Sunday so it has been two days and I have not gotten an email with my NET id or anything yet. Im starting to get a little nervous. I want to get in here soooooo bad!!!!! Any info would be perfect on the process that is going to happen after the application is submitted.

Hey!

I received my NET ID and other information about 3 days after I submitted my application. I would say you should give them a call to follow-up if you still don't hear back tomorrow since the deadline is approaching. Also check with them to make sure they have all your documents (Transcripts, Recommendations letters, etc.).
