NYU ABSN Fall 2015

Published

Anyone planning to apply to NYU ABSN program for fall 2015. Since I'm in CA, there's no way I could attend the information session. What important things were mentioned at the information session?

I dont understand how early decision works.. If you applied before march 1st they can make you wait till june to find out. What is the point of early decision for then?

Is there anyone who got accepted and declined the offer?

I noticed in past forums the more people who declined the later other people got accepted!

Thanks for everyone's help

yeah because they put students on the waitlist ^

For those accepted here is the Facebook group: facebook.com/groups/nyuabsnfall2015/

Just a heads up since I'm already at NYU this semester the delay in responses is because they have a lot more traditional students and non-accelerated students like myself starting the first sequence this fall. Because of that the number of people that are going to get accepted has went down. I am guessing that they are only taking about 75 students for the fall semester. Sorry if this is depressing for some of you but it is a reality.

i mean that explains why we havent seen a lot of people say they have been accepted on here cause usually theres a lot more.

i hear they usually push people for the spring semester if theres an over load for a semester

Also, their website says "before June 15" for admission decisions. So at least we know it will be before then. Soon.

My guess is the "OMG YES!" group went out first and those waiting either haven't been reviewed or got put on the wait list.

Hi :) I just wanted to share that I got an email from admissions almost 2 weeks ago, saying they needed an updated transcript (which I sent already). Buuut I resent it and haven't heard back. Also the next day a friend of mine got declined.. So I'm still hopeful since they did reach out

I had a similar case. I still didnt graduate, on my last semester. They contacted me making sure i would be done with my undergrad by fall. But i still havent heard back í ½í¸” staying positive thought.

Hey all, I got accepted on Thursday morning around 8am. My GPA was a 3.5 and I had 2 strong letters of recommendations from my professors. I also had done volunteer work at NYP. Good luck to the rest of you waiting.

Hey guys.

I actually just called the office and the lady told me that that's not true at all they will not select less students based off of last year or anything like that. She actually sounded really shocked and kept asking me who told me.

So maybe that's good news

Kmichellex, I don't understand what you are trying to explain. Why would a program accept people who are not at a certain standard even if they applied twice? And why would this be good news to you?

Kmichellex, oh! Okay, I understand what you are saying now. Thank you for sharing with us.
