As a new grad, if you have a job I'd stay there until you have the experience to be a good applicant to try to NYP. NYC is flooded with new grads and yore lucky to have a job, as there are many other new grads who don't. I may or may not have worked in the NYP system and I will tell you that getting an interview as a new grad is extremely difficult. Stay where you are, get a year experience and then try for NYP. If you do decide to apply to NYP make sure not to tell anyone you currently work with until you've secured a job, if you let the cat out of the bag, it will make your life more difficult at your current job.
Thank you for ur advice da_milk_of_advice :) I really appreciate it

NYP usually looks at you much more favorably if you have at least 2 years of experience. Just FYI. Stay where you are for now, NYP is not going anywhere!

I got few rejected emails but last week got the battery test email. I did the test on Friday but they say wait 5days for a response. Tomorrow or Thursday should make 5 days. How long did u wait for a response after the test. And I heard they don't even call u if u failed the test smh....NYP make everything much more difficult than necessary gee whiz

I took about two weeks, but I called the lady who interviewed me on the phone For an update. All you need is one face to face interview. If you can practice and study your interview questions well and impressed them, you can get the job fast . They are on a hiring spree now . I saw people from many parts of the USA getting their orientation paperwork . I have to go down in a couple of weeks to take the pharm test . My advice is to be persistent. NYU is also hiring . I cancelled Stonybrook and NYU's interview for NYP, I hope it was the right move ! Good luck !
