NYP Pharm Exam

Hey does anyone have advice on the NYP Pharm exam? I know theres a document floating around out there somewhere. If anyone has it and can message me I would be very grateful

Not yet! I take it soon, but I am freaking out. I've been studying everyday and I just feel like there is a lot to cover. I'm taking the Peds Pharm exam because of where I'm going to be working. They sent me a study guide which is pretty good. It's 3 pages but I've expanded it to about 11 with all my notes I've added haha. I'll post an update after I take it!

I have been flipping out since the day I found out that I have to take the peds exam. I am studying everyday but I have to take critical care and dysthymia exam too. Where are you working? When is your exam? I am suppose to take the pediatric exam too which study guide did you receive. Do you mind sending me the study guide please.

Hey guys, I am also taking the pharm exam next week for NYP-Cornell. I am taking the OR specific pharm exam. Does anyone have any info on this? I have the study guide but if anyone has taken it, I'd love some feedback.

Hi Auchiepie,

I was recently hired to work for NYP and will be taking the pharm exam. Would you mind sending me your study guide? Also, are the pharm exams different for each unit? If so, what unit did you complete the study guide for? And do you have any additional tips for passing it? I do know they are going to supply a review guide; is it safe to say I will pass if I know everything on the review guide? One last question, how many attempts do you get to pass it?

How was the OR specific one? I take it next week (June 9th). I wish there was practice exams or something. At least in nursing school, you knew what answers they wanted or knew what sources they wanted it from.

Any advice is appreciated!!

I just took it about a month ago. Really nothing to worry about. Just literally follow the study guide they give you exactly. I passed with like a 94%!

Hey!

I have a question. I already took the pharm exam for NYP last week and I passed it with an 85%. What is the next step of the hiring process? By taking and passing this exam does it mean I have been hired? How long did it take for NYP to get back to you after passing the exam? Has anyone taken and passed the exam and not gotten hired??

I would really appreciate any info on this!!

Grr. Hated that stupid test. It had drugs on it we no longer use! If you go to the NLN website and download it (it wasn't expensive), it's literally the same exact test. I studied the night before, and the test had the SAME EXACT QUESTIONS. Another reason why it was the lamest test is ever taken in my life.

That was three years ago...maybe they wizened up?
