Hi everyone! There are so many topics on the NYP Meet and Greets that I figured I would start one specifically for the meet and greet that was yesterday (1/20/16). Did anyone attend? Did anyone feel that they did well or receive any verbal offers?
I did very well on my interviews with the Patient Care Directors, but bombed the interview with the Talent Acquisition Specialist. For some reason I stumbled over her questions and felt that I didn't answer them all to the best of my ability. I am hoping that the successful interviews with the PCDs will help me to land a position. I was informed that they will be opening positions on the unit according to the number of qualified candidates that they want to hire from the meet and greet.
I figured we can all share information in here about where we are in the post-interview process.
Has yours or anyone's status changed from future consideration? Mine says that too and I'm not sure whether that's a good sign or not within the entire process
Mine hasn't changed. I'm concerned that it means we are not with the group who has been selected.
That is great!! You are giving me hope. I just spoke with the PCD again recently and I'm hoping to get called in for a second interview as well. Congrats!
I too attended meet and greet in january at columbia .i just checked my dashboard and saw my application is under review for emergency dept at weill Cornell.
Even though I did not apply for this position but will gladly take it as my goal is to work in ED.
Anbody else status change and what does it mean? I have not yet been contacted by phone or email as of yet

So I accepted a position in the ED in the nurse residency program at Cornell. I went to HR then met with director at ED and was offered job 2 days later. Orientation May 2nd, very excited!! If it still says future consideration you're still in good shape ,

Does anyone have any advice for people who have to come out-of-state to attend this event? Did you feel it was worth it in the end? Did you come from out-of-state for the meet and greet and then also have to come back again for separate interviews?
Any advice would be extremely helpful! I was invited but I'm trying to decide if it will be worth the really expensive plane ticket cost!
Went to meet and greet in January. Was just emailed for an interview with talent acquisition and a department manager on same day. My online status says under consideration for both the new grad event I went to in January and for staff nurse.
