I am graduating Jan 31 in NYC and hopefully will pass the nclex 1st time. are there any nyc or westchester hosps offering incentives to new grads such as help repaying loans.

Specializes in Home Health, Primary Care.

I haven't heard of any in particular, but you may try any of the VA hospitals. You may take a pay cut in comparison to other hospitals, but I believe they payback your loans if you commit to work for them for a certain time period.

Specializes in Emergency Room, Cardiology, Medicine.

Some offer really nice discounts and benefits to all employees. I hear NYU is nice b/c after a year of employment (or six months.. can't remember) - they offer you something called tuition remission at NYU for nursing courses (they cover the expenses for you to advance your degree). I know after finishing school, going BACK doesn't seem so tempting right now - but it's something to think about in the future. :) You may be able to find that with any hospital that's affiliated with a college.

I've been job hunting and it seems that many hospitals offer tuition reimbursement (after 6 mos or one year of work) even if the school is NOT affiliated with the hospital where you work, i.e., they pay for any number of local schools and even on-line courses!
