I finished my LPN-RN program from Carleen Health Institute. I took the NCLEX under New York state board and passed the exam. I'd been waiting on the license a couple of weeks and decided to call NYbon, was told the school is under review - hence they would not be issuing any licenses till the review is done. They also wouldn't give a time frame. Does anyone have any idea how long these reviews usually take or what could be done in situations like this?
People are doing there own speculations and adding things that were not mentioned. Yes it is completely wrong what people did to obtain a license and should be held accountable cause they knew and fully aware of what they did. The report did not say they would take any license away. They said it is up to the state board to do so. I am sure they will be coming to a conclusion with that and it may take some time like it did for the investigation. If that happens it will be very embarrassing for those people that tried to blend in with the real nursing students and make them go through all that wait because they choose to cheat the system and now who every really went through the program and did clincals and hard work have to suffer due to this.
Maria30 said:@G_Status its unfortunate, there are people that truly went to that school. I think its unfair to put everyone in the same boat
It truly is but a thorough investigation will have to take place and records are going to have to match to truly confirm who went to these schools
To answer your questions. Carleen school doesn't meet Washington minimum requirements for state license.
I did attend in class review at Carleen. My license didn't get revoked. They just denied my licensure because Carleen does not meet their requirements. No discripnary action against my license. I still have Florida license active.
I'm just curious to why everyone goes to New York for boards rather than just take it in Florida if you're from Florida ?
@Gators_95 because Ny has numerous attempts. But this causes red flag with so many going there and then they investigate, so its realy not a good idea. Ny is will block a school if it notice too many people from other state schools wanted to take there exams there

It's just all a sad state of affairs. There are so many lives affected by this. Some knowingly some unknowingly but you're right the best information and the best source will be your State board of nursing.
