I finished my LPN-RN program from Carleen Health Institute. I took the NCLEX under New York state board and passed the exam. I'd been waiting on the license a couple of weeks and decided to call NYbon, was told the school is under review - hence they would not be issuing any licenses till the review is done. They also wouldn't give a time frame. Does anyone have any idea how long these reviews usually take or what could be done in situations like this?

Possibly but when I graduated it was approved at the time so shouldn't they still issue me the license?

You're not alone love. A lot of people are feeling the same exact way right now. We just can't lose faith.

I guess, depending on their "investigation". Can you work out of state?
I honestly feel angry and frustrated regarding these fake school. They make us nurses look bad. In my opinion, not all nurses want to go these routes. Most of them been through school but couldn't passed because of some reason like exit exam. Of course, when we fail nursing school. We looking for school that will accepted our credits and continue with our education. Take me as example, I went to Carleen school because I heard it from a friend that graduated from this school. I thought the board approved school program for those student who passed 80 %nursing class except exit exam. They told us, they need our official transcript to prove. Before we can sign up for 6 weeks NCLEX review program and then we can sit for the board . I did not aware this is a scam. I not from Florida. Of course, I did my research and these program was ongoing for more than 2 years. As I am speaking right now, they still have class offer in their website. I don't understand why the state is not aware of this situation and let them continue operating than turn around and blame on us nurses. We nurses get the blame for fraud when we don't even know nothing about the way the school operate. It make us look like we want to do short cut but in reality we just follow school protocol. Who knows they are scam. I don't get to see my transcript even after I graduate. So there is no way I know this is scam. Can't believe these school still scamming nurses. Shame on all of them.

Carlheen is open, I spoke to them last month, their look it up on Google
I don't know. I find out through my background check from a job that I applied. Under education the school did not release my RN nursing degree. I guess they afraid of getting in trouble. I highly recommend anyone who go to these school, please get yourself a lawyer, because we are the victim not a fraud. At least I know I am not. Don't wait until they revoked your license because it will effect your LPN license as well. Don't let the school ruins your life after all your hard work going to school. I hope they have class action lawsuits against these school. We nurses need to defense ourself. Of courses, there are some that never attend nursing school and just bought the diploma. But not all of us. They need to look at case by case. Not everyone in the same situation.
Please beware you will not getting your license soon. Carleen. Doesn't approved for RN program in state of Florida. I find out the hard way. I graduated from their program school LPN to RN. Even though I received my RN compact license from. Florida since 2021. Today I find out, my license my get revoked because of their fraud. I am in the process of getting lawyer to protect my LPN license not sure if I am able to keep my RN. As of right now is still in good condition

I agree. The FBON told me these schools were okay when I asked about a couple of them. How are students supposed to know. Why is the BON approving scam schools?
I graduated from a Florida nursing school. They are approved by the FBON and NOT under investigation. Should I take the NCLEX in another state????
