I finished my LPN-RN program from Carleen Health Institute. I took the NCLEX under New York state board and passed the exam. I'd been waiting on the license a couple of weeks and decided to call NYbon, was told the school is under review - hence they would not be issuing any licenses till the review is done. They also wouldn't give a time frame. Does anyone have any idea how long these reviews usually take or what could be done in situations like this?
Has anyone been able to endorse in any state?
I don't want to go to school all over again, I put in the work and I am done.
I was able to endorse to Florida, only because my results were posted on Nursys.
The Florida board of nursing was able to see it, it's a verification system they have access to.
If that is true how come they can't do it for others? I have been going back and forth since July 2023 so I find that hard to believe
Has anyone heard an update I've been waiting since March 22. I passed my NCLEX days after the investigation started. My school is not on the list of fraud school. But under review for education. Just don't understand how NY is giving and allowing other nurses that have education from other 3rd countries a license. But not giving student who went to a US approved school that was accredited and on the us education website a license. I've already passed my NCLEX twice and my still won't release my license or original score.

Herzing University is not approved? It's fully accredited. Is there an update on this?

You would have to call NYBON to find out.
Herzing University has several locations across the U.S.
Orlando location is listed under nursing program, but not on FL BON prelicensure program list. Tampa program Associate is Approved while BSN is accredited.
NY BON September 2023 draft meeting minutes recently posted states that
Quotethe FBI investigation of Florida nursing programs is ongoing and of the importance of remaining impartial when serving on disciplinary panels

From what I am seeing, you may have issues. If you want to work in New Jersey you can get a Florida nursing compact license. New Jersey is a nursing compact state so you can work there without endorsement but would have to retain your Florida address. I am not sure if they would give problems on that end by still requesting information about your education. Connecticut is not a compact state and you would have to endorse your Florida license.
