NY req on Child abuse @ Infxn Course

Hi! I have read that if you are applying for NCLEX thru NY you should have an on-line course on Child abuse@ Infxn, what is the website of this on-line course? pls guide me on this.....thank you so much guys!!!!

There is a list of approved schools where you can do it on-line directly on NY BON website. And you can also do a a search here for the information.

where can i find the list of approved schools?I'm from the Philippines are there approved schools here that offer this online course?About the NY BON website, what's the website? and finally, where in this forum can I search for info about this online course required for NY state? Thanks.

K, thanks so much geena for ur quick reply...i checked on their website already but got confused unto how i will be able to enroll and register on those courses...and also how much did u spend from the two courses? i read that the amount per course is $20 but will this be the total payment or there are other charges? and what was that result they are saying taht will be automatically forwarded to the BON? will there be an exam after the course? will there be an additional charge for this?

Hi! You will need to register - then log in and look for continuing education. You'll find the two courses under New York. After you register, you have 60 days to do the test questions. You will get results immediately and can print out a certificate. Yes, they say that the results will automatically go to NYBON.

K, thanks again geena...ur such a big help!!! nwey,have u heard of wild iris? its from http://www.nursingceu.com/courses, they offer this course also and u can study and take the exam first, once you pass then u may register..so at least, they will forward a passing score and that you will be very sure of a good result...BUT is this alright? I mean are they really an accredited on-line course of the NYBON? pls enlighten me on this...tnx so much!!

It must be done in a school that is approbvecd specifically for NY, and there is not one overseas. They are all based in NY. And they can be done on-line.

Just because someone has an approved school, ir does not mean that it is an approved course for the state of NY., When you try to find soemthing else to save time, it will only turn around and bite you. NY has a specific list of what they will accept. Do yourself a favor and complete what they ask for specifically.

If you want a license from NY, it is going to need to be completed before they will issue you a license.

If it states that you need it, it means just that.
