NWFSC Nursing Fall 2019

Hi! I just finished retaking the HESI and am curious to see who else applied for Fall 2019. I know it's early, but I'm already ready to find out either way. My HESI score is 89 and I should have 17 bonus points, so 106 points total.

Any other applicants out there? ?

Have any of you found a place for the CPR certification class yet?

Last year when I needed to renew my lvn license I went to Pensacola. I went to CPR Pensacola and fire service training. The instructor is Anthony Smith and his class is very thorough. He had us do a group exercise that was timed and shows you how critical cpr is. It's a bit of a drive but I felt it was worth it. He is an emt. Oh yeah and you get your card online so it's a quick process.

I got my cpr certification through my medical assistant class I’ve been taking over the summer, but I believe any fire station does cpr classes through AHA, maybe check their websites? I think there is a list of other cpr course locations in the purple folder we got at orientation!

Thank you! I was going thru the sheet given to us at orientation but the twin cities page didn’t have any class info, and when I entered the link to Safcare I couldn’t get a website to come up. Went thru the nwfsc page but there isn’t anything available for the summer. Will try some of these other numbers tomorrow when offices are open. I just wasn’t sure if any of yall knew of other places not listed ?

Hrmmm....sooo I was wondering did you all have orientation that included lpns? I was thinking maybe the person who may have missed it will open a spot for RN track instead. Totally all hypothetical but I am cray I guess haha.

Haha no I understand. Yes the people doing to LPN - RN track were there as well. It may not hurt to call and ask? I’d rather do that so I could begin making plans for either fall or spring. I hate not knowing what’s going on lol

Ohhh ok. Yes thank you! Pretty much what i am trying to do is plan for either but I just have to wait ugh. I'm about to go on vacation also so Idk when make up orientation is or if I am even eligible. I should relax haha. I submitted my acceptance email for spring but I made note that I wish to be looked at for fall if there is a spot in the future, hope to hear something tomorrow. Just more waiting. ?

Quick question.. idk if I just misunderstood what was said, but I thought as of July 1st we could register for classes? I tried to today and it wouldnt let me.. but it says theres already people registered for our NP1 classes so I'm not sure. Also, was Nutrition the class she said they needed to update to online bc it says Monday for all of them and half of us will have clinicals that day

I thought we were allowed to register today but maybe not? I heard someone ask about the time conflict with the pharmacology class and if I heard correctly, that date or time is changed but hasn’t been updated on the site yet. I went and picked up uniforms and books today so that part is done. Now on to tackling the rest! ?
