NWFSC Nursing Fall 2019

Published

Hi! I just finished retaking the HESI and am curious to see who else applied for Fall 2019. I know it's early, but I'm already ready to find out either way. My HESI score is 89 and I should have 17 bonus points, so 106 points total.

Any other applicants out there? ?

LOL I was wondering the same thing! I was the girl who won the free books for the semester (so crazy!) I was in the pink shorts.

oh, and frsms, they didn’t really tell us the first day of school date but I’m pretty sure it’s August 19th. I hope they call you, too!! I would go ahead and get your immunization/titer records out of the way, just in case ?

Omg how funny, you were sitting directly in front of me! I'm jealous you won those books lol but then again so was everybody else!

Omg so funny, I was wanting to find you guys but also didn’t know how to without looking like a creeper lol! I was the one in the green floral pants who kept getting the winning tickets on the baskets ?

Aww the orientation sounded like fun! How funny. I hope the first day isn't August 19th because that's the day they said my spot on the alternate list expires lol i just hope if a spot is now open they call asap!

Ahhhhhh that was hilarious, you won like everything ?? geez we all lucked up on the raffle! Frsms I so hope they call you Monday and say someone dropped! Ok so idk if I ever said, but my name is Jenny btw.. we need to stick together when school starts! Also the girl sitting 2 seats down from 850 Nurse is really nice, I didnt catch her name though. She put all 30 of her raffle tickets in the basket I ended up winning so we were joking about that lol Can't wait to see everyone

@Frsms I second what Jenny said!!

Oh, and my name is Havilah! And I agree 100% on sticking together throughout this program. It’s going to be work, but will all be worth it! Also if y’all are up for it, I am all for forming a study group once this kicks off!

Ahhh yes I’m definitely all for forming a study group! Yeah, Havilah you kept winning everythinggg haha I was jealous ? oh and my name is Sami, by the way!

Thanks! I hope they call me too and hopefully ill be able to figure out daycare. If i do im interested in a study group too. It helped so much during my lvn program but im assuming we might be in different courses? My name is Francesca btw.

I have three of my own so I definitely understand needing to know for childcare purposes! So I didn’t know this until the other day, but the LPN-RN’s start off in Nursing process 2, etc, a semester ahead of the rest.

Thats what i was imagining. Is that lpns kind of intergrate into the term that already started. So yeah we wouldnt be in the same class if i start in the fall. But possibly if i start in the spring? Idk just my assumptions. Im really nervous because i havent worked in so long because i stayed home with my little ones and im probably expected to be at a certain level. So i need to study. ?

Oh I hadn’t thought about that but I bet you’re right, starting in the spring I think we would be in the same class! I stayed home for 13 years and waited until my youngest started school before deciding it was my turn lol. So I understand that feeling. But don’t let that get to you. From everything I hear, this is a fantastic program with equally fantastic professors who want us to succeed. We just have to go into this with a positive attitude and ready to put in the work. I spoke with a few girls who are in the program now that were at orientation and they were so helpful and definitely put my anxiety at ease. They gave me all kinds of information on books that helped them, YouTube channels they found helpful for different courses etc. Also, they really emphasized the study groups.

That's awesome kudos to you. Thanks for the kind words. Having kids and going through a nursing program will be tough but that's what we are. I know study groups and making friends helps so much through this process. I'm glad we all connected and I know you all will do well. ?
