NWFSC Nursing Fall 2019

Nursing Students School Programs

Hi! I just finished retaking the HESI and am curious to see who else applied for Fall 2019. I know it's early, but I'm already ready to find out either way. My HESI score is 89 and I should have 17 bonus points, so 106 points total.

Any other applicants out there? ?

I was curious about this as well. I’m not sure but I think it would be a good thing to check on! I know that for the first couple of months our clinical days will be spent at the college. I just don’t know what we are supposed to do that first day.

I was wondering that too, I’m thinking we don’t need to do anything or be anywhere that Monday but like you guys said, I’m not sure.. from what I know, we just have to be at the first pharmacology intro lecture and the NP1 class Tuesday.

Hey so I made it into the fall ? im still trying to get everything done lol i have so much homework and 10 days to do it. I have clinicals on tuesday and for us (lpn to rn) it seems like we are meeting in the classroom or lab. We go to lab for a few weeks first. So im not really any help but hope you figure it out. Its finally almost time to start! ?

Congrats on making it in for Fall! ? I finally got everything on castle branch done, so that’s exciting, lol. I’m so excited to start and meet you all!

That’s awesome!!! I’m so happy to hear you made it in for Fall! I think I am going to email the professor for clinical and just double check about the 19th.

Ok awesome please let us know bc clearly we're all lost lol.. frsms so happy for you! Congrats ? and also I'm so far behind in Castle Branch ? I need to scan in all those papers I signed and I still havent got my immunization titer test. I did have a physical and my drug test though

Thank you! Hopefully you can get your titers soon. I had mine done on monday and they said it takes 7 to 10 days to get the results. (I go to eglin for mine). Ppd and dtap show up right away on record. It was so busy both times I went this week. I would go right when they open at 8 if you can to avoid being there forever if you go to eglin.

Hey @FrsmsQuestion for you! I am alternate number one for the spring 2020 program. How soon were you notified of your fall start date? I applied for the LPN to RN program as well and hoping to hear something soon. Do you know how many slots are allotted for LPN-RN transition?

Hey there! @faithful89. Everyone found out late april for fall 2019 and i was 1st alternate. I found out july 29th there was an available spot. According to the post confirmation test we watched there is 12 spots for lvn to rn. I would say you have a good chance of making it. Maybe even since i accepted for fall it opened a spot? But i would apply again for the next cycle because you never know. Also i think i took the spot of someone who decided not to continue and was a RN track. (I think we come into the 2nd semester of the RN track). Im just guessing but if thats true then i would imagine youll find out closer to spring start like i did unless someone leaves earlier. Hope that kind of helps! I really dont know anything for sure so just keep that in mind! I hope you hear something soon but just prepare yourself for either situation.

Thank you so much for your feedback. Please let me know if you hear any news that's worth sharing! Congrats and Good Luck!

@faithful89 you're welcome. Just remember i dont know anything its just hypothetical and the time frame that happened for me. I didnt make it so i studied and applied for the next cycle just to try again incase i didnt get a call back. I hope you do. Good luck!

@Frsms Yea, I plan to retake it just incase. Could you possibly inform me of roughly how many days a week is the program? Just trying to plan ahead if Im accepted.
