NVCC Spring 2018 Hybrid Program

Published

Hey all! Starting a thread for those applying to NVCC (Northern Virginia Com Coll) for the spring nursing program! This is my second time applying - tried for last Spring but didn't make it - my grades are a mix of mostly B's and some A's and I got 87.5, 80 and 90 on my TEAS sections. I really wish they'd let us use LORs or at least consider work experience. And I'm so glad they raised the TEAS requirements back to 78 - I heard that threw everything off for last year and that's why so many people applied. I also heard that they are accepting more people overall this year, so fingers crossed!!!

May the odds be ever in our favor

So MEC sends an email saying orientation is January 5th and you say orientation is November 8th. I don't understand.. First, whatever anyone tells you in school is bs.. They are just guessing and their pride won't let them say they don't know. We've seen enough of it to know. My one cent.

MEC orientation is January 5. Hybrid nursing program orientation is Nov 8. Two separate things.

I see... Enough of all these anxiety already. They should just send the emails.

The only ones who have consistently given me valid/good info is the adviser in the first office and the blondish wavy?curly haired one in the fourth office at the MEC student services office.. Or when I email the MECCounselor inbox. Everyone else is just sorta unsure. Going to other campuses to get information seems like a total waste of time.

The guy I talked to is the one who sends out the acceptance and rejection letters... I feel like he is probably telling the truth. We'll see I guess

I wanna say there are 35 slots. I looked at the dynamic nursing class that's offered spring 2018 and it's 35 seats

Any chance that anyone has heard anything yet?

I haven't heard anything yet. Fingers crossed that we hear something today!

Come on, guys.... There's an Alexandria campus. Of course Alexandria is priority 1 lol!!! Also, we found out on a Thursday at 2:00PM (For the traditional)

I misread your post :)

Also, the same gentlemen I spoke to has again given me different info on when we're finding out and when the orientation is... so I have no idea what to think

Am I the only crazy one that keeps checking the school email hoping that there is an acceptance email, then comes here thinking that others already received the acceptance letter, and will post here... therefore, I'm in the rejected pile... I'm going crazy!!! Please, just put me out of my misery!!!
