NVC does not know whats happening!

Just checked my case with NVC and they(call center) told me that they (NVC) have not sent my papers for CP since my pd is aug 2004 and they are processing june 2002! I asked about the newly released visa bulletin for scheduled A workers, she said that she do not know that as far as she knows, my case is being processed under E3! what the H___! Is this is what's really happening or that agent do not know anything? does someone know what's happening?

Am starting this thread to track cases that has been sent from NVC - CP - interview schedule to know the developments of the processing as a result of the ammended june visa bulletin.

Your experienceand input is very much welcome

Yes VSC a copy of your should be forwarded together with the DS230. RIght now it is very important to have the VSC because it is one of the ways on how the NVC and Consulates determine if you are under SCHedULE A.

TO EVERYBODY.Just write/e mail NVC directly and make an inquiry about tha VSC requirement.I observed in this forum that there were lots of inquiry regarding Visa Screen Cert. and different answers or opinions on the matter.I wrote the NVC regarding VSC and was informed that "NVC does not require any additional documentation".Thus, the best way to get answers to your concerns is to get the information right from the HORSE'S MOUTH..So ask the NVC about it and share in this forum the answers you get..

Visa Interview Appointments

The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) sends approved petitions to the State Department's National Visa Center (NVC) where cases are held until an immigrant visa number is available. When the priority date of a visa petition is about to become current for processing, NVC will provide all the necessary information and application forms to start the immigrant visa application process.

NVC assigns a visa interview appointment once an applicant is documentarily qualified and forwards the case file to the Embassy in Manila for the applicant to complete the application process.

The following is a list of Immigrant and Fiance(e) visa cases that have been scheduled for a visa interview. Click here and check for your case number ( Acrobat Reader is needed to download). Press Control F and type your case number. If you have an interview date but no time is indicated on your appointment letter, you should plan to appear at the Embassy at 7:30 a.m. on the date of your appointment.

If you failed to show on your scheduled appointment, please contact us to reschedule your appointment.

The chart below lists the cutoff dates for a particular month. Visa numbers are available only for applicants whose priority date is earlier than the cutoff date listed below. "C" means current, i.e., visa numbers are available for all qualified applicants, and "U" means unavailable.

Visa Screen Certificate must be available at the time of the interview. This has been what has been happening, it is not needed until then, if you are still overseas. It doesn't need to be included with any earlier documentation, but if you do not have it at by the time of the interview, you move back to square one, and start everything all over again as far as immigration goes.

that's a sign of relief to me suzanne. thank you for explaining..:)

shaider. when is your appointment at your embassy? interview?

dear suzzane,

just wondering how long is the actual interview for immigrant? what are the usual questions and problems encountered during the actual interview? by the way am a nurse and passed already all the required exams. just waiting for my embassy to ring me. can you give some pointers? thanks

It will depend on you as well as the interviewer. No absolute cut and dry time. Some just literally go in and shake hands with the interviewer, make a few statements, and that is it. Also depends on if there are any questions with any of your documents.

The US Embassy in Manila has published the July 2005 interview schedules.

Shaider, PresC,

Good News!

A friend of my sister whose PD is March 2004 has received an appointment date for July 25. I think with your PD. your dates are on the way. Also. nurses with 2003 PDs have started receiving information regarding their preliminary intertview for July.
