NVC -CP- GC Tracker

Published

I am starting a new thread to track cases from NVC - embassy to GC.

The best news for RN in China, Phillippines and India has been great and informative thread, but I think it is more appropriate and convenient if we start a new thread.

Also with the rapid scheduling of interviews for most of us, I am looking beyond the CP and anticipating the GC!

The August interview schedules are out already in India, and recently in the Philippines and hopefully in China.

Here is my case details

Hi everyone. I got an appointment for interview this august. I am just wondering if anybody could give me an idea where to get the cheapest airfare to the USA. Im travelling with husband and kids. Of course, these things would come after the interview. we're just trying to get some ideas on our future expenses incase we make it to the US. Any website that i can go??? thanks.

Hi everyone...it's been quite a while that I have not been visiting this site..well, I've been quite busy with my work and quite busy about worrying about my interview, hehehe...anyways, I have been interviewed yesterday( whewww! what a relief!!!:bowingpur)...and here are some tips for you...when you arrive at the embassy, you'll notice that there is a long line there, don't be afraid, that line is for nonimmigrants only, ask the guard where you will line up and he will point to a much shorter line, in my opinion, you don't have to go there really early(as in 3 in the morning), since they prioritize immigrants there, even if you arrive there at 6 am and your appointment is 630 am, just inform the guard that you are an immigrant scheduled at 630 am and they will let you in, they will even prioritize you than those scheduled at 730 or 830....now, they will let you in a room that has a baggage xray( like those found in airports), drop all your things there except your cellphone, or its better if you leave your cellphone at home or to someone outside the embassy so that you will not waste time lining up again just to deposit your cellphone at the electronics counter(i prefer to call it that way since its only your cellphone that you will have to leave there not your entire baggage). At the immigrant room, they will let you sit first, and someone will brief you about the process, you don't have to listen well since there is a t.v. there showing the steps over and over, then the guard will ask you to line up for your number(you don't have to line up your whole family, just the principal applicant),when you have a baby with you, then you are in luck since they will expedite your papers(meaning you will be prioritized, lesser waiting time... so kiss your baby and hug them hehehe:kiss i even finished first than those scheduled at 630, I'm done at about 930, my appointment is 830). after that you will have to wait for your number to flash at the screen, and just go to the room where you are asked to go, they are quite rude, but tolerable(just think about you leaving them here in the Philippines hehehe), as for the consul, they are okay, no medical questions for me, they just asked what the preinterviewer asked,he just said "i think we have all we need", and then your done(not quite), wait for your number again to be flashed at the screen to get your documents, you have to remember what you gave them in original copy, so that if they fail to remember to give it back to you, at least you will be able to remind them or else you will not be able to get it back once you leave the embassy, you will have to apply for another copy of visascreen, cgfns cert. (that's another expense for you). after the documents release you will be given a pink slip and you will have to go to delbros to pay for courier, that's 165 per person...........and you are done!!! You just have to wait for your visa to be delivered...so those are my tips.... hope it could be of help to those who are worried, nervous and excited.

Dear Sir/Madam:

Your inquiry has reached the National Visa Center.

All documentation necessary to complete the National Visa Center's processing has been received. As soon as an interview date is scheduled, the designated representative of this case (petitioner) will be notified. The US Embassy or Consulate General may require additional documentation at the time of interview.
