I am starting a new thread to track cases from NVC - embassy to GC.
The best news for RN in China, Phillippines and India has been great and informative thread, but I think it is more appropriate and convenient if we start a new thread.
Also with the rapid scheduling of interviews for most of us, I am looking beyond the CP and anticipating the GC!
The August interview schedules are out already in India, and recently in the Philippines and hopefully in China.
Here is my case details
Category : EX Schedule A
USCIS receipt : April 2004
Processing Center : Vermont
I-140 approved : October 2004
NVC case number : MNL2004813XXX
NVC forwarded packet 3 : April 5, 2005
Packet 3 sent back to NVC : May 3, 2005
NVC case completed : May 16, 2005
Consular Interview : August 29, 2005
Visa received : ???
Date of entry in the US :???
GC receive : ????
I hope you can also post here your details interview experience.
God bless!
hi its PRETSE!
I have been wondering if LIABILITY is an issue here regarding item #22b if we answer N/A. why? what happen if i have my kids ages 3,5 &12 as dependents, who will take care of these kids if both my hubby and I are working? remember in the States we don't have helpers to take care of our daily chores. I guess putting N/A is maybe more appropriate/practical rather than putting an occupation or work thatn we can not do it.That's my humble opinion.
Hi everyone! Had my interview a while ago and it all went well.
My two cents for everybody:
1. No need to be there very early if you're scheduled at 8:00-8:30 am. Lest you will be wasting a considerable amount of time waiting coz those having their appointment at 6-7 am will be prioritized. Only the person with appointment will be allowed within the embassy premises.
2. Have a good breakfast because you'll be expecting a long queue outside the gates and even inside.
3. The night before, prepare all that you'll need. All the requirements written in P4. In addition, your visa screen certificate, notarized job offer, NCLEX test result, and NCLEX license. Make sure that you have it photocopied. Also bring all the things that you may think are necessary.
4. Attire doesn't need to be formal. Wear comfy but presentable clothes. (i have observed that others just wore shorts). Comfy clothes because it's humid outside the gates where you'll initially stay. A fan may come in handy.
5. I suggest not to bring your cell phones. It's not allowed inside, though they may keep it for safekeeping. Bring extra ID so that you can deposit your cell phones.
6. Always keep an eye on the screens where numbers are flashed.
7. Take time to talk to the people around you. Not only will you gain friends but also receive ideas and inputs. Needlesstosay, will also decrease your anxiety.
8. Pray, pray and pray. Need I say more?
I hope everyone will have their visas soon. With all your docs complete, a healthy mind, and help from above.... you'll have no problems. Good Luck!!!
Hi everyone! :balloons:My case was completed last April 11 2006. I was wondering when my interview schedule will be? I saw the schedules posted last may 11 and my case number wasn't included. Will there be another list coming out this May?
hi tanya1,
dats nice to hear that your case has been completed.. when mine was completed i waited for exactly five months before my schedule was released.. counting five months.. that would be an august miracle! :-) but still let us hope for the best for you to have an earlier schedule.. keep us posted..

MAY 22,2006-The day of the dreaded medical check up at ST.LUKE'S EXTENSION CLINIC (that should not be dreaded anyway.. hehehe)
12MN- departure from my hometown Cabanatuan City,Nueva Ecija
2:45AM- arrival at the clinic (1177 J.Bocobo St.,Ermita,Manila); by this time few people are already lined up for a number but gates will open at 4AM
My no. is 12..
4AM- went inside the clinic, accomplished forms.. Bring your consulate appointment letter (original and photocopy), 2x2 pictures, and passport. Guards at the gate will check. Show them your documents.
6AM- U.S.A. Counter Reception will open. Your number will be called for digital picture taking and encoding of your data. *Your signature at the patient data sheet forms must be the same as those you have in your passport. (About 10-15minutes)
... proceed to cashier at 5th floor. Bring only philippine currency. The rate today was $1-53Php.. (I paid 5,035pesos.. hmmp!)
7AM- I was first to be in line for chest x-ray at the 3rd flr.. but this white lady (who is a whiter version of "Bale" in OK ka Fairy KO.. was toxic as a.. was toxic as a.. toxin?? hehehe) told me to go 4th flr. for my lab.analysis.. when i went upstairs it was still close.. and for this reason I was delayed for an hour and a half.. so don't be fooled by her imposing authority! (hahahahaha)
7:30 AM- blood extraction for HIV Testing and urinalysis for pregnancy test.
8:30 AM- CXR completed proceeded to U.S.A. Counter at 5th floor.
8:30 AM-11AM- from these floor everything will start to get crazy.. you queue up first for vitals or an eye test.. then afterwards an immunization history review.. no need to secure for your baby cards (hehehe)except for your kids if they do have the latter.. the doctor there will just ask you for chickenpox scars.. after these whole process.. that will took a chunk of your precious time.. you will be lined up for the last task for the day the physical examination which is by the way just 5-10 minutes..
i was getting a little cranky by 10AM and this V/S nurse won't get my BP because my data is second to the last. my point was some of those ahead of me must queue still for their eye test when i had mine first..and if she will just take my goddamn bp I will be next in line for the immunization history review counter.. no amount of persuasion or even charm will sway her center...
but later on i did realize.. that yes.. patience is a virtue.. and there's no way I must get attitudinal since I've been waiting for this medical to happen for quite some time..
I just amused myself that those people with family based petitions whom I interviewed waited for their time to come too.. for about 22 years or 15 years or 10 years.. :-) but they were there anyway for their turns so there is no other reason why I must feel "impatient" at all..
my consulate interview is 3 weeks ahead of my check-up.. but i felt relieved going there today since I will no longer fear for the unknown.. now.. i just have to pray for day 2 to be smooth sailing.. :-)

You pay for day care for them if both parents are working, and they are of the age where they need supervision.
Hi, Thanks suzzane! i think we can only do that latter if everything is already in place.. but what is more practical for the meantime is to let our partner do the daily chores & Perhaps for the time comes, we can already find a day care for the children otherwise we can use time management nif both are working. it's me PRETSE!

Thanks for sharing!
So, you think it was extremely necessary to go for your medicals that early? One of the posts here offered an alternative view/experience that going later in the day may even be better. What do you think?

hi daning,
well it is really up to your preference.. :-) i've estimated that it takes 4-5hours for day 1 and 5-6 hours for day 2. but it is not that necessary to come as early as 2am.
