NVC -CP- GC Tracker

Published

I am starting a new thread to track cases from NVC - embassy to GC.

The best news for RN in China, Phillippines and India has been great and informative thread, but I think it is more appropriate and convenient if we start a new thread.

Also with the rapid scheduling of interviews for most of us, I am looking beyond the CP and anticipating the GC!

The August interview schedules are out already in India, and recently in the Philippines and hopefully in China.

Here is my case details

Hi! I am a nurse from the Phillipines. Anyone have know the current waiting time from the time the visa bill is paid to nvc sending the packet 3? My employer sent payment to NVC last May 17, I was wondering when I should expect to receive the packet 3. If anyone can give me the latest wait times (year 2006).

Hi! I just want to ask about the vaccination requirements. I have no vaccination records, what vaccinations were asked from you. Can I have the vaccinations at other hospitals or does it have to be given by the embassy approved doctor?

Specializes in ICU.

hai! just had my medical exam and interview!! it was sooooooooooooo exhausting! but it was worth all the wait. they told me my visa will be delivered anytime soon!! im dying to see it!

Anyways, on my interview day, i submitted the hard copies of the following documents:

1. birth certificate

2. visascreen certificate

3. cgfns certificate

4. notarized job offer

5. NBI clearance.

after the interview, i was called up at window 35 for the releasing. the lady just asked me some personal questions and thats it!! nothing was "released" to me, except the appointment letter. I asked her if she will be giving me back my original documents, she just said " yes, once they are issued". Does that mean that these docs will be sent back to me together with the visa?? I am very much worried about thisd because i have no more copy of it! and i think it is needed for my nclex application. Has any filipino nurse in this forum encountered such situation?? please help me, anyone... thank you very much!

hi agp_ph,

usually only kids are being asked about their records but for us, they are just checking out for chickenpox scars and basically that's it.. you mean to say you don't have any vaccine at all? the only vaccine available at st.luke's is mmr.. tetorifice toxoid will be given at the port of entry or when you are already in the u.s., they won't give you mmr vaccine if you are pregnant or if it is not age appropriate.. hepa B and pneumococcal vacine are also needed.

hi peanut!

what do you think would be the effect during the P.E at St. Luke's if someone has hemorrhoid & high blood pressure? can it be caused for a delay for the whole process of the P.E? thanks!

It's me, KING!

hi king,

if by the time during your p.e. you have a very high bp reading, they will retake it.. and you can still go back for the process during day 2.

they have interview questions such as.. have you been hospitalized? for what? currently on medication? do you have an existing disease?etc..etc..

the husband of my colleague had hemorrhoids during the time of their interview last july 2005 but he was not delayed because of it.. the only disadvatage when he was in texas together with his r.n. wife, he was hospitalized there and was charged for $3,000 for his operation.

most common examples of those who are being delayed are potential immigrants with problems regarding their lungs like if they have tuberculosis or something.. they will be enrolled in st.luke's d.o.t.s. program and it takes 6mos. for the whole treatment, unless they are treated and their lungs are ok, they will not be allowed to have the medical report.

those who are 60 y/o and above do have mandatory sputum test for 3 days..

one guy was delayed for eleven months because of his diabetes but it was not clear to me why.. he was from ilocos and migrating to hawaii but none the less was given a clearance after treatment.

hope this will help you.

thank you, peanut for the lengthy explanation. i think it has a lot of time yet to prepare for everything especially on how we present ourselves for interview & for physical examinations. Our case is still for NVC P3 apporval. Thanks!KINg

Hi Peanut. thanks for the reply. Actually I had my vaccinations when I was still a child but I do not have any records. So you mean that I can have my he B vaccination given by my own doctor and just bring the record at st. Luke's.

Also, I was wondering if the origisnl birth certificate and police/nbi clearance need to be submitted to NVC or if they will just ask for it during the interview?

Hi! I would just like to know if any of the nurses here are under Whiteglove agency?
