NVC -CP- GC Tracker

Published

I am starting a new thread to track cases from NVC - embassy to GC.

The best news for RN in China, Phillippines and India has been great and informative thread, but I think it is more appropriate and convenient if we start a new thread.

Also with the rapid scheduling of interviews for most of us, I am looking beyond the CP and anticipating the GC!

The August interview schedules are out already in India, and recently in the Philippines and hopefully in China.

Here is my case details

Category : EX Schedule A

USCIS receipt : April 2004

Processing Center : Vermont

I-140 approved : October 2004

NVC case number : MNL2004813XXX

NVC forwarded packet 3 : April 5, 2005

Packet 3 sent back to NVC : May 3, 2005

NVC case completed : May 16, 2005

Consular Interview : August 29, 2005

Visa received : ???

Date of entry in the US :???

GC receive : ????

I hope you can also post here your details interview experience.

God bless!

My lawyer has spoken to NVC and no more cases will be forwarded till October and they confirmed we will have to give them updated DS230s again

Another delay... if they ask ask for updated DS 230 in Oct then if visa bulleten will retrogress again in Nov then we will not get interview sched this year and have to repeat updating the docs again next year?

So does this mean that nobody will be scheduled for interview this October? because if we have to update DS230 in Oct hen we have to wait for it to be completed again.

This is just a cycle which never ends.

Lawrence01,

This part of your post.

"An I-140 (the job petition) will not be approved by USCIS w/o any of those."

I was trying to clarify this from you alone that is why I addressed it to you. But from your last post I am clear about it.

Guys so sorry for the OT.

For all those waiting, don't mind that it always rain on every parade for surely the rain will bring a rainbow.

Hi, its been a while, i just want to update you guys... [pardon my english:D]

Just finished our interview yesterday, luckily the consular officer that handled our case is very kind. Just few questions and were done. Finally, were "almost" finish, my wife is 7 months pregnant and we decided to leave after she gave birth, my baby was really a blessing... btw, our visa is not yet delivered, still, i have high hopes that i able to make it on time.

My friend texted us a while ago, her appointment is today, same with my case, only few questions and she's done. but the problem is, the consular officer told her that all visas are used up, and there is no available visas for her and her family. the officer told her to wait till october [next fiscal year]. i feel sorry for her, her pd is older than mine, i dont know what went wrong, if she able to complete her updated documents earlier i think she will be scheduled earlier and beat the buzzer.

Guys, dont lose hope, keep your cases updated and pray. In my case, since my PD is current, it took us 5 months. Always visit this forum, there's s a ton of info's around here. you will able to predict whats visa bulletin ahead of you. I suggest to update your NBI's/Police Clearance and DS230 as soon as possible, sending and reviewing your documents takes a lot of time. Again, dont lose hope, suzzane is right, PD's that are current last few months are not current for that long in last few years. if you have earlier PD's then you are a candidate for the next batch of visas, it wont take that long. Update and Pray... thats all i can say!

Congratulations DotPH

Anyway, what do you mean it took you 5 months since your PD was current? Honestly, I find that too long. BTW,what's your PD? Thanks.

Sorry, but that is how things are moving right now and everything is otherwise stopped until the next fiscal year begins. So it is going to be even longer for some.

But one thing that you may not be paying attention to and it is not just that the PD is current, the file must be complete and current as well; and this has been a hold-up for quite a few. If a file is not complete when the PD becomes current, they just go on to the next candidate. They are not going to hold things up and wait. Their goal is to complete as many pending files that there are, and this is exactly why you have seen the PDs jump forward significantly at times, because there were those that did not have completed files for whatever reason.

There are many more applicants than there are visas available and not all that have pending petitions are going to get a visa.

My PD is Dec2004, after the release of March2008 VB on mid Feb, we started to update our files. Updating your files takes a lot of time... imagine the timeline of sending, reviewing and waiting for next instruction, it took couple of months, ill try to breakdown the timeline, this is based on my case that my PD is about to be current but my files were not.

Feb 15: March 2008 VB [EB-3 Phil 01 JAN 05]

Feb 20: Updated DS230 and NBI sent to NVC

March 18: My Case was reviewed and declared Documentarily Qualified (NVC told me to wait 6-8 weeks for the next instructions)

May 16: (7 weeks and 3 days after my case was declared Documentarily Qualified) Got my Appointment Date (June 24).

June 24: Consular Interview, [Visa not yet delivered].

If my case was Documentarily Qualified since last year, i should got my Appointment Date within March 2008 then, if things goes smoothly, by May2008 i should have my visa.

Suzanne is right, its not just about your PD's are current. Your files should be updated too. NVC prioritize documentarily qualified applicants. When the PD of a documentarily qualified applicant is about to be current in the next VB, they were the one's who's in the front line... Keep your files updated!

Update us when your visa has been delivered already.

Hi dotPH!

Congratulations on your interview... I soooooo envy you!!! But I am also happy that at least things are really moving and someone got through. I guess most of the benefited ones were those current in March VB for those cases that were stuck in the NVC and cases theat werre already forwarded to the consulates . I hope we get our turn in Oct-Nov-Dec......

Please do share what were the questions asked to you and your family. Thanks and God Bless you on your new journey.

Thanks fruity, just hang on a little bit, im sure your on the next batch, just be sure to update your files as soon as possible when they tell you to update.

Btw, the consul just ask 7 questions: :D

1. Who's your employer?

2. How did you know them?

3. How many years of nursing experience?

4. How long have you been married?

5. Do you have relatives in the US?

6. How many weeks pregnant are you? [my wife is 29weeks pregnant]

7. Are you aware that the airlines wont allow you to board?

"Ok i think everything is in order, you can now go back to your seat and wait for your number to be called" :yeah:

St. Luke's Extension Clinic is the strict one...

And a bigger question for you is why were there delays from the beginning or you would have been in the US long ago. We have not been under the retrogression for the entire time, so suspect that there were isuses with either your inital petition in the beginning or some other documents were required to be sent.

But glad to hear that you finally have had your interview.

Just asking the questions above for others here that are wondering as well, and thanks for explaining that if a file is not complete, they skip it and go onto the next. That is why I keep stressing that a current PD date alone is not going to mean anything. Everything must be complete and updated as well.

Wow! just 7 questions!..... How strict is St. Lukes? Were you asked together(you and your wife) by the consul?

Thanks again.

thanks dotPH

I too, like most of the bloggers here, was just waiting for an interview date until the july VB put it on hold. My PD is Nov2005, and I submitted all the required docs(updated DS230,NBI clearance, photocopy of passports, pics, etc) as early as March 19,2008. I never checked when it was case completed coz I learned from HLG that inquiring the status of your case at the NVC can cause delays. Anyway, I guess we'll just have to wait for October.

BTW, what will happen after your wife gives birth, considering the visas are unavailable? Will you have to wait for october before your baby can be given a visa? Did the consul say anything about this?

Thanks and good luck!
